The best part of building your own PC is what you learn from it. You get an awesome system, but you also get the knowledge of how it all works so you can help others who might need help :)

another advantage is that with a $8-900 pc, you can play what the xbox one, xbox 360, ps3/4 can play all on that same thing. thats not even counting the normal uses of a computer. that you were most likely going to get anyway

Nick, watching you a year or so ago when you first made your PC videos I got interested in getting my own PC. So I built a 1500ish dollar PC. The gaming experience itself is better yes, the graphics yup, all the variety in the settings and key bindings is great. But the huge downfall to me at least when it comes to PC gaming is I am constantly feeling lonely or alone while gaming. No one talks other than the "trash talking". I literally have to ask every person if they have a mic or what voice program they use for group talk. Vent, skype, steam ect. To some people the ease of the user interface and ease of communication of a console sometimes outweighs the better gaming experience most PC's will deliver. Just my two cents.

I just built myself a £350 Gaming PC with a AMD FX4130 and HD7770 GHz OC to 1125GHz and 4GB RAM and I can play the older CoD's (Mw2 WAW) at max settings 1080p 80-90 FPS

You would probably get more frames by increasing the max fps rate to 200

Yh on Bo2 you can apparently get between 90-120 frames per second with a 7770 GHz

To expound on your remark about video settings. Nvidia now has the GE-force Experience, where it will will automatically detect your games on the computer, and can configure them automatically to optimum settings with little to no knowledge of what settings are best. It makes setting up your games very easy, and enjoyable.

I think part of the reason console players who like controllers prefer to play on consoles is because it doesn't put them at a distinct disadvantage, where on PC, if you're playing Bo2, most people are using m+kb. Also, I think it's worth mentioning some awesome PC exclusives, such as the valve games (tf2 is free), half life, etc.

The convenience of having consoles is literally the reason why they exist. It's so much easier knowing that your initial investment will carry through for 10 years. The only things that bother me when it comes to PC gaming is the TV setup, drivers and game specs, and gaming community.

Hey NMunro4 I want to get into pc gaming. So I have a few questions for you. I want to play most games on high or ultra settings, preferably ultra . So what kind of specs would I need to be able to do that? I would like to only have to spend about $1500 on a desktop because I have to get a monitor, keyboard, mouse, ect. So if you could give me some specs to be able to do that, it would be much appreciated. I agree with all the points you made in this video but there's something you haven't mentioned. Something that makes consoles a necessary purchase (if you're a hardcore gamer). Most (or at least a lot) of the really good games are console exclusives (e.g. Uncharted, Last of Us, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts Halo, Gears, and pretty much all the Nintendo games etc.) I wish all games come to the PC, I'd LOVE that. I currently only have a PC and I'm missing out on a LOT of games that I really wanna play which sucks. Thank Darwin (I'm an atheist, sue me) that GTA V and MGS V are coming to PC.

The problem is (i'm ps4 ever since the first ps) right now your console maybe £350 ish but when you take into consideration the cost of a video game (£50) plus playstation membership (now it's £50) for a year on average a new playstation is release around 7 years so that's £350 + £350 from membership + console = £700 and that's not including video games let's say three cods release for that console that £150 + £700 = £850 maybe other games too so maybe £950 that basically more then your standards PC (console) which is around £600-£700 (I've gone for alienware the new one recently due to changes in membership) With PC it lasts a long time alienware only changes when they need to which is a while there's no membership cost and even the games cost less where a pc cod = £30 ps4 = £50 It may look cheaper at first but reality is sony isn't going to give you a cheaper option when Pc is much higher. The only thing i'm wondering is if you need mcfee security or something ?

VAC is very good at preventing hackers I've only come across hackers in MW2; haven't played Ghosts in months so I don't know there.

dries123ful It's really not bad at all. Been playing CoD on PC since 2007. Apparently one of the worst games in terms of hackers was MW3 but I never bought that one. It's something that people tend to over exaggerate how many hackers there are.

alec conner LOL. PC DOES NOT suck. In fact, it's better than console. PC is better in every way except player base. A smaller player base is perfectly manageable. Call of Duty is not the only title that you have to play; there's thousands of games on PC that aren't even available to console.

I agree with u for 95% Pc gaming is indeed really awesome if you have a good pc If you turn up fov on consoles most people get headaches because of the distance between the player and the tv thats why its a pc only option good vid btw :)

i wish consoles had a fov option. and at least some graphics options. because (on previous console) the cod games run at less than native 1080p. i'd rather have nearly bland textures than low resolution.

its not on console because theres no need for it because youre supposed to be sitting so far away. its on pc because youre close and most games dont allow it. but the community makes fov changers to prevent headaches

With only 300$ i highly doubt, my old pc is around 300 or 400$ and i could run all the CoDs except for CoD Ghosts and it runs BF3 at almost 30 fps with everything on low. If you want to get a low end pc 300$ is close enough, but you might not run BF4. If you want a medium end pc you would need at least 500 to 600$ and you might run BF4 in medium or high graphics with 60 frames per second at a decent resolution.

There's a person on YT that is a console fankid, and there's no discussion with them. Keeps repeating the same rhetoric BS about how a PC has to cost a mint to be good. It's where you shop, and do some price comparisons. For less than $200, I upgraded my machine to a Spartan, and will crush a console any day. I still enjoy some console games, but it's just no contest when it comes to value, longevity, performance and options on a PC. And, most tv/monitors now have VGA ports, so I can hook up my Radeon card to any tv/monitor, and still look and play better. As long as you keep the PC safe, and updaded on drivers, you don't "need" to constantly upgrade, hence why parts are a bit pricer, but worth it in the long run because they will last the long run, without having to wait for Sony or Xbox to come out with a new system as an "upgrade". I can upgrade whenever, however, for how much ever. PC wins. Sorry console peasants.
