No. 1 Catholic-B.R. vs. No. 2 Jesuit (Div. I Championship, HIGHLIGHTS) - Defense Rules at Yulman!

The Division I title game at Tulane's Yulman Stadium turned out to be a physical contest where the defenses took center-stage for both teams. There were, however, multiple big plays made early on that proved to be the difference in the game along with one epic drive. This was the second or third round of the playoffs? Bring back the playoffs where there’s no public, or private division. There are public schools that can compete in the upper divisions. Catholic’s one loss was to a public school.

Refs missed a couple of calls that would have put Jesuit as winner. Calls these refs shouldn't have missed. God Bless

More than a couple..I’m usually pro ref but I thought they missed 3-4 blatant ones and they all favored Catholic: 1) the non-intentional grounding play 2) no PI on Jace Larsen when his jersey was hanging of his shoulder pads 3) no call when a Catholic WR throws the ball at a Jesuit player 4) Catholic smacks Jesuit’s RB out of bounds … no call again 🤦🏾‍♂️

@@JoshPrestonsVideoVault well the one they picked up the flag on CHS was throwing a TE screen pass. He threw it to the TE who was held by the DE. I thought they missed it too but, after looking at the replay the The CHS QB was throwing it to the TE so a receiver was in the area. it was a clean game. CHS top running back and receiver was out of the game due to being hurt two weeks prior so the game was played pretty even. Two good teams. good to see Jesuit break through for a change and make a run in some time. Key to the game for me was Jesuit offense was just too bland. they could not move the ball. once CHS locked in on stopping the QB run that was the ball game. Jesuit offense was really simple. I thought Jesuit defense player really well. CHS offense scores at a good clip but, Jesuit defense balled out. They wore down and Catholic back up running back controlled the 4th quarter and that was the game. The key to the game overall is CHS defensive and offensive lines controlled the game in the 2nd half and the punter pinned Jesuit deep which controlled the field plays Jesuit could call. Jesuit bowed up huge a few times and CHS came away with no points. Refs missed a few calls on both sides but, it was a really good close game.
