Hyoyeon's vocals is really good. I recently just watched GoodGirls, CLC's Yeeun named her as the toughest to beat. Loopy said that among all of the GoodGirl's members she has the most swag. @@San-jx1zd Hyoyeon's voice is under utilized because SM wants a vocal color that matches the majority of SNSD's vocal line. She's my bias and I agree that in the dance line, Soo and Yuri are one level above her when it comes to vocal BUT what I do think is that she has the most useful vocal tone when it comes to the songs, a position that is parallel with Seohyun but as a contrast to her falsetto. SNSD don't really have a member that does low register as good as Hyoyeon and that shows in all of their songs. Most of their choruses are sang in unison and they seldom harmonize in those even though they are known to have the best harmonization. However, You Think's "you ain't cooler than me, nah" demonstrates how good Hyoyeon's voice is when utilized to harmonize. You have to really be keen at listening to the live performances to hear how Hyoyeon strongly delivers the lines that are meant for her voice. Take for example, Genie where she shares her lines with Seohyun, in the mv they blend well as if you're hearing one voice sing the line but it becomes different in live performance because Hyoyeon really belts out the lines that you can hear the distinction between her and Seohyun not only because Hyoyeon can but it's also comfortable for her range. The other songs that I think suits her tone the best are Goodbye, Check (chorus), Lil' Touch, Blinding Lights cover, Do What I Want to Do with Youngji (rap), Time with Sunny and Taeyong (her singing parts), Chocolate Love. There is also that b-side during their debut that I forgot but she nailed her lines in that one. I'm certain that there are b-sides as well but I think I forgot now.

They really had been trained welll all those years. They already started with the celebrated main vocal, visual and main dancer. But the others were all already good. Sure some needeed more training and experience when they first started, but they all improving well in the end. The thing i love the most about them is that they're all not pretentious. They were so hillarious on variety shows
