Yvonne Ejim scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and No. 19 Gonzaga drilled a school-record 19 3-pointers in rolling to a 104-39 win over Pacific on Saturday afternoon.
Gonzaga has won 30 straight home games, second to South Carolina's streak of 50. It was the Bulldogs' 16th straight win this season and 15th straight over the Tigers. And it was the second largest margin of victory in program history, the largest against a Division I opponent. The Zags beat Whitman College 114-40 in the 2010-11 season.
The onslaught started early when the Bulldogs hit 7 of 11 behind the arc in the first quarter, opening a 20-point lead. They were 3 of 8 in the second quarter, 4 of 7 in the third, including Ejim's first of the season, and wrapped it up going 5 of 9.
Gonzaga's 54% shooting (19 of 35) behind the arc was better than their 53% overall (36 of 68). The Bulldogs entered play shooting 39.5% from distance, sixth best in the country, and are ninth in overall shooting at 48.9%.
Kaylynne Truong had five 3's and 15 points for the Bulldogs (22-2, 9-0 West Coast Conference). Reserve Bree Salenbien matched her career high with 14 points, making three 3s. Brynna Maxwell had three 3s and 13 points. Kayleigh Truong had two 3-pointers and Eliza Hollingsworth sank four with both scoring 12 points. The Truong twins combined for 16 of Gonzaga's 26 assists.
Reserve Lauren Glazier scored 10 points for Pacific (13-9, 5-4), which was 1 of 13 on 3-pointers and 17 of 65 (26%) overall. The Tigers also had 21 turnovers that were turned into 32 points.
Gonzaga opened the game with a 15-0 run and had another 11-0 run in the first quarter for a 32-12 lead. Ejim had 10 points in the first quarter and Maxwell 10 in the second as the Zags led 53-23 at halftime.
The Bulldogs closed the third quarter with a 15-0 run for a 77-29 lead.

With 21 points today, Yvonne Ejim has scored double figures for 30-straight games. She has now scored at least 20 points in 14 games this year. She also recorded her ninth double-double this season with 11 rebounds.
Head coach Lisa Fortier currently sits at 255-61 in her career. Among active Division I coaches, she is fifth in winning percentage at 80.7%.
The 104-point performance today was the most points in the Fortier era and the second time this season that Gonzaga has reached 100 points or more. It is also the most points scored against a WCC opponent in Fortier's time at the helm.
The 65-point margin of victory was the largest margin of victory in school history against a Division I opponent.
Gonzaga's 16-straight wins is third in the country. GU's 22-2 (.917) record also sits at third-best in the nation.
Brynna Maxwell scored 13 points and has made a three-pointer in every game this year as she made three today.
Six Bulldogs scored in double figures for GU today. Seven Zags also scored a three-pointer to add to the record-breaking game of 19.

Ejim hitting a three and in after-game interview said "fantabulous." 😂 But I wanted to know -- the question left unanswered at 19 -- if they hit 20 threes in a game, would everybody get two tacos?

The announcer is right. They are not the 19th ranked team in the country. More like 30 or lower. just like UConn . When they have to play someone out of their conference, they lose. When you play in a crap conference . Your sense of self importance is suspect. Your not playing against anyone. So naturally you win all your games. That's why they always lose in the tournament. Men and women.

Wow, you give disrespect to two teams at the same time and also give disrespect to all the teams they defeated (Stanford, Liberty, Arizona, Alabama,...). Maybe some of the teams are not in as good condition as they have been but their names were well-known a few years ago

Not saying you a wrong but Liberty, Arizona are not very good teams. Alabama right now is on bubble watch and they have only 1 top 25 win. They got blown out by LSU and home and will play LSU and again on the road and must play SC on the road. If you ask me they have a lot of work to do.

They are probably between 12 and 18 in truth. They drop in the rankings while winning because they are not playing full intensity because they are not challenged in the WCC. They have to pile it on the rest of the season to get respect in the rankings to get better seed in the tourney.

yeah I don't deny that Gon's opponents in WCC are too weak. I watched all of Gon's matches in the last few years and I noticed that this year Gon was completely outscore and unmatched in the WCC (and some teams in the non-conference schedule). I also foresee that if Gon does not have the opportunity to play against teams in the top 25, it is likely that Gon will fall one rank each week. I'm just dissatisfied with this guy saying Gon is in the top 30, like Uconn (a team I've followed for many years). This is like not recognizing the team's efforts, injuries, and loss of members that these two teams are experiencing

@@JRcalifornia Not anymore. And Gonzaga beat a #3 Stanford this season and have a 3-1 record versus Pac 12 teams. Their only losses to two top 25 teams. Louisville was an 11 point loss and they lead the ACC right now. Their only other loss a 5 point margin to Washington State who just beat a top 5 UCLA team. Their conference is weak, yes, but this season they are 4-2 against power conference teams and have blowout wins versus South Dakota State and Toledo, two teams considered top mid majors. Their resume this year is very good.
