Have you heard of Number Two?? Let me know if there are any other toilet paper brands you want me to try!

I read an interview with the founder of No. 2. She started the company after selling a chain of nail salons and was looking for her next money making venture. She admitted that the environment was not her primary concern and when asked what species of bamboo was used in making the toilet paper she said she didn’t think there were different species of bamboo - there are over 1,000 different species. With so many environmentally concerned people selling bamboo toilet paper, I wouldn’t want to give my money to someone who freely admits she’s in it for the money and hasn’t even done enough research to know about different types of bamboo. I’ve also noticed that you don’t really address the chlorine issue in your reviews. As far as I’ve found with my research and contacting various companies the only brand that doesn’t use chlorine is Tushy. The others use a safer type of chlorine, but it is still chlorine and still creates dioxin. I think your reviews should include the chlorine issue because it is a deal breaker issue for me, and I’m sure for others - I won’t buy toilet paper bleached with chlorine. It would also be interesting to know why eco friendly tree toilet paper is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, but not bamboo toilet paper. There must be a reason why it doesn’t work with bamboo, but I haven’t been able to find any information on it. Overall, I really appreciate your videos - I found them when I was researching bamboo toilet paper trying to find something better than Caboo, which I’ve used the last couple of years.

Heather York Thanks for your input. I think a lot of the brands make their toilet paper white because they’re trying to attract the average consumer (and conventional toilet paper is white). I do think Number Two is a brand to support because they’re making a sustainable product. Tushy does make great toilet paper. It’s nice to have an option for those who don’t want white tp. Thanks for your suggestion! I’m currently editing the last review for this bamboo toilet paper series and then I’ll have an overview video. I hope these videos were helpful! Thanks for watching!! 😊

Hi Heather. We are so glad to hear you know so much about bamboo! The species of bamboo we used for toilet paper is (Neosinocalamus affinis/Bambusa emeiensis). It is different from the species that pandas eat for food. Some bamboo toilet paper are, in fact, bleached with hydrogen peroxide- it is possible. At Naturolly, we leave the unnecessary things off the table because we believe in keeping things simple, healthy, and sustainable. We make our bamboo toilet paper unbleached, unwrapped, and packed sanitarily in plastic-free packaging. Please feel free to check out Kristen’s Naturolly review, pandemic gift guide, zero waste bathroom video (for a coupon code), and our website naturolly.com 🌱

Just received my shipment of 24 rolls. We love it, but they do say plastic free packaging yet they’re using plastic tape on the shipping box. I’m not complaining, just stating the facts. However, the paper is actually silky feeling and obviously softer feeling than what we were using. Not a bit of butt crumble...hallelujah! I’m so glad I subscribed, and thank you for all of your bamboo toilet paper reviews which got me to be part of the tree saving family!!

FYI, No. 2 has an option to buy your rolls "naked", so no extra wasted paper AND you save $9 per carton (of 24 rolls). Cool.

Stacey Lebenzon Awesome! That’s a new option that they didn’t have when I reviewed this. That’s definitely good to know! 😊

Has anyone else noticed a drop in quality since No. 2 became Rizzi?
