Hi, Tiffany and welcome. I agree, it's a fabulous stamp set and so easy to do the three step stamping without having to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig. Did you subscribe to my channel so you get to hear each time I post a new video, which is normally twice a week?

Your cards are lovely! I thought the stripe paper was DSP. What a fun technique---thanks for showing how to do it. I live in the U.S. and have a SU demonstrator locally. When I go to Hostess Club I'll ask her if she has seen it. If she has not, I'll refer her to your video. She likes mono-chromatic color schemes too.
@janbcards10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments, Dinahsoar. It's amazing how easy it is to create your own "DSP" which is great because if you don't have any official DSP in the colour you need, you just make your own!

Hallo, thanks for the video! But why are you stampin the third step of the flower first? Could I stamp the first step stamp of the flower first?
@janbcards10 жыл бұрын
Hi, Ke-Ke. I'm glad you like my video. We have been told by Stampin' Up! to do this stamp "back to front" that is, the last step first. Unfortunately, we weren't told why although I have to admit it is so easy doing it this way. I haven't tried doing it the "normal" way but I will give it a try when I'm back in my studio later on. I suspect it's easier to start off with the smaller stamp and work up to the biggest. You have raised a very interesting question and I'd also like to know the answer. I'll let you know how I get on. JanB.

Jan Brown Hi, Ke-Ke. I've just been having a go with the Lotus Blossom stamp set again and you can do it which ever way you want to but I do think it's a bit easier doing the last step first. I found it easier to line the stamps up if I did the smallest darkest one first. I suggest you try it both ways and see which way you like best. I'll be interested to hear what you think. JanB.
@mhinz010 жыл бұрын
thank you so much for testing it!!! I don't have the set yet, but when I do, I'll try it! :)

I received my catalog yesterday and immediately loved this stamp set as well as the A Happy Thing stamp set. Anyway, the instructions say that for best results, to stamp the inside first. I think it is because it is easier to line up and stamp color onto white as opposed to color onto color. The result is lovely, so I will have to try this "opposite" technique with some of my other similar stamp sets. It may turn out to be one of those "why didn't I think of this" moments.

Hi im waiting on this stamp set coming to me. I love it, it's one of those flowers that will look nice no matter what colours you use. I noticed you have three pairs of scissors on your mat, before you mentioned the snips I wondered what you were using you could 'hear' how well they cut. I normally use large scissors for everything but those ones look so good, what scissors do you use and what's your favourite. xxxAnnxxx
@janbcards9 жыл бұрын
Ann Littler Sorry for not getting back to you sooner Ann but I've been in Australia because of a family bereavement. I have a pair of Paper Snips for ribbons and a pair for paper - love them both. I have a pair of non-stick scissors (the pink-handled ones) by Xcut which I use for anything sticky or anything that has anything sticky on e.g. cutting the strips of pearls or rhinestones, cutting round the edge of the Dimensionals. All three pairs are fantastic for their particular use and wouldn't be without any of them. Kind regards, JanB.

Hi, Beverly. I know it's a year since you left your message on my video but I've only just found it.......in the Spam folder! I have absolutely no idea what criteria KZbin uses for Spam but it does seem to be totally random. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to find it. In response to your query (I know it's rather late) the embossing folder had retired by the time you saw the video. ☺ Happy crafting, JanB.
