nice vidéo, few people know mastumoto, fewer know number 5 and i'm happy to watch someone talking about it

Hello! Thanks for watching. I'm really liking how this video worked out. I learned what layers were during editing, I got a new mic (but no pop filter, which should be fixed by tomorrow). I started working with a website that just charges a small monthly fee so I can have a much larger library of royalty free music (no more relying on KZbin's library of like 10 songs). I hope you enjoyed!

I think the manga is so unconcerned with the explanation of the world because its supposed to be foreign. the characters too, we never get any sort of inner monologue from number 5 without it correlating or interacting with another character because were not viewing this from his perspective, and the explanation for the fauna and flora is passive but still applied, most of it is from papa, who states that hes made almost all of the hybrid animals we see out of pure boredom. the lows you talk about arent what id call lows, theyre just not as heavy in depth as they typically would be, the mystery is one of the best aspects of the story. and the pacing is mysterious and fast because (i feel) its trying to show how rapidly the peace corps (not just the rainbow council) falls after No. 5s leave. If we understood every aspect of the story and its world then it wouldnt be nearly as interesting, if answers were provided for every part of the map that you talked about then it wouldnt have caught your same attention, were not interested in the mundane because were fully familiar with the mundane, the same can be said for the media we consume. I like the care you take to praise the series and Matsumotos work, along with how you actively avoid degrading the work just because it doesnt suit your specific wants in a series.

@@PanelFlow it's a great video, and I think the skill to give your opinion without degrading the work or it's fans is underappreciated

I think if you’re able to articulate what you don’t like about something and take care not to insult possible fans, discussing works you don’t like would be good to talk about. For the sake of rounding out your vision of media and such.

Great vid btw 🤠

Solid point. I could have articulated it better, my point was more around how I write, I think I’m a better writer when I’m excited about something versus when I’m disliking something. So therefore, I try to keep it on the positive side of things. I can critique something like you said, it’s just my intention while going into a new manga/comic.

@@PanelFlow makes sense. I thought of that after the fact, at the end of the day the most important thing is to be excited about the vids you make (I think those vibes get hard wired into the vid itself).
