this is the first performance of this kata I have seen that actually looks good. we do not have this kata in Wado, so I have only seen it in video. other practitioners do not perform their kata well, they instead try to make it look "flashy" by doing their techniques quickly. the result is their kata looks like a rush of mindless punches and kicks with no real understanding or spirit. watching you do this, it is clear you understand kata and how to perform it very well. the techniques have power and spirit, and even though the techniques are fast where they need to be, the kata itself is slow and well-paced. you can actually see each technique. now I want to learn this kata even though it is not in my style.
