Meaning of Statistical and Quality control
Statistical - The science of collecting and studying the information numerically to get the desired result.
Quality Control - It means the establishment or maintenance of quality standards and in case of deviations, take proper steps to overcome them.
Meaning of Statistical Quality control
It is based on prevention principles. SQC is an approach of statical techniques used to accept or reject products during the process or after production.
Importance or Advantages of Statistical Quality control

3.) Create Responsibility among workers
4.) Save Time
5.) Improving Product Design
1.) Reduce Rejection
In the absence of Statistical Quality control, there will be more mistakes and defects at the end of the production process. But with the help of SQC, management takes prior precautions to prevents all these defects.
2.) Maintain standards of quality
It helps in maintaining the standards of quality in products and services as low-quality products get rejected by the market after some period of time or are not accepted as there are other products with better quality.
3.) Create Responsibility among workers
When a student knows that his work will get checked, then he studies with more responsibility. In the same way, SQC involves testing the products during and after production.
4.) Save Time
SQC can also be used if the products are huge in amount. It involves testing few products from several products or lot. Example - A lot includes 100 bottles from that team pick 4-5 bottles for testing and found that it meets quality standards. It means all the lot have these standards.
5.) Improving Product Design
In meaning, we understand that SQC identifies and corrects the forces that are responsible for the deviations or failed to fulfill the quality standard objective.
