Statistical - The science of collecting and studying the information numerically to get the desired result.
Quality Control - It means the establishment or maintenance of quality standards and in case of deviations, take proper steps to overcome them.
Meaning of Statistical Quality control
It is based on prevention principles. SQC is an approach of statical techniques used to accept or reject products during the process or after production.

In the absence of Statistical Quality control, there will be more mistakes and defects at the end of the production process. But with the help of SQC, management takes prior precautions to prevents all these defects.

It helps in maintaining the standards of quality in products and services as low-quality products get rejected by the market after some period of time or are not accepted as there are other products with better quality.
