i think this was recorded before GPT4o came out, saying this because tada, AI can talk like a human now. lots of good points but I don't understand why leaders mellow down their responses when it comes to the impact on jobs. Just because your own highly specialised job can't be replaced doesn't mean AI will not have impact on jobs. Just be transparent about it, it is happening all around us and they know it better than anyone else. Whatever that can be automated, will be automated. And AI is only accelerating that automation so jobs will be gone. And not everyone who is losing a job can pivot to another career. Sorry to sound pessimistic here but it is what it is. Saying that AI will "help" in decision making is simply not true for majority of people who will be impacted by it. Ofc it doesn't mean everyone will lose their jobs and AI will take over but if you needed 10 people earlier to deliver an outcome, depending on what that outcome is you might need all 10, or 5 or just 1 person to do that with AI, in the near future.
