I had been mid-high sens 8 response curve. Halfway through I switched to 2 response curve, 220/180 look, 140/90 ADS, both with extra yaw. Before this I could never play with low response curves, now they feel so much better. Interesting change

@@RobPlaysTooMuchI’ve always wondered if you could actually play apex without aim assist on controller for the longest! I knew deep down the secret sauce would be linear response curves or almost linear. I just was too afraid to make the change since I’m on console and have to deal with everyone having a deadly beam. Didn’t want to be at a disadvantage. But aim assist plus good tracking skills on linear give me a much deadlier beam than most players on console too. I also didn’t want to make the change because console only gets 60fps or lower, so that already makes it hard to track sometimes

I did! My next video immediately after this was the stats breakdown from this 30 day challenge. S17 had a sudden difficulty spike when your rank surpassed your MMR equivalent, and I performed *SIGNIFICANTLY* worse the moment that difficulty spike kicked in. I then turned AA back on and performed decently

Do u feel like playing with no aim assist improved your aim and in game decision making?

I had to play more conservative micro-rotations and that’ll always be in my playbook now. Comming was more important, my 3D aiming was completely revolutionized, lots of interesting small changes that I think will make me a slightly better player. I’m still crunching the stats but I think they’ll paint an interesting picture
