No Ash Wednesday Crowds At Beaches

Ash Wednesday for the typical Trinidadian means an opportunity to cool down after the Carnival Monday and Tuesday Parade of the Bands.
This cooldown is, of course, accompanied by music trucks blasting Soca but taking place on the nation's beaches.
But for 2021, there was no Carnival and Ash Wednesday beach cooldown due to COVID-19.

Does a licencing officer have the authority to enforce covid 19 regulations upon citizens? What madness is this? REALLY T&T? Where does the nonsence end? The country received covid vacceens which the parlamentarians strongly advice citizens to take while they themselves refrain from taking it! Where are we living? In Disney land?

Boi, the sad thing is, people don't realize the dictatorship of a government Trinidad has. They want to further ruin the economy for a virus that has killed ~130 people, yet they refrain from taking such drastic measures for crime, which is responsible for 500+ deaths each year. Taxpayer dollars are still being used to prop Caribbean Airlines. Why didn't the government use the lock down period wisely and put restrictive measures in place to reopen the borders? Trinidad will sadly always remain in a third world state.
