Seems like a good idea. would be cool put an inline 1/8in npt 4an fitting with a temp sensor for datalogging. The next step for turbo oiling upgrades would be a vented oil drain tank. Used a lot on low mount turbo setups with scavenge pump, but beneficial for all turbo setups.

Dude. If you wire in a little pump (like is on many cars that circulate coolant after shutdown) that will circulate your oil for about ten minutes after engine shutdown, the turbo will cool down gradually & won't crack up when you have been running the car hard & just shut it off. I like your idea.

Only concern i would note is that the turbo may have significatly longer times without oil on startup. Would be good to check that the turbo recieves oil within the manufacturer reccomended time frame. Borg warner reccomends 4 seconds or less cold and 1 second or less when hot

did you notice how long it take the oil to circulate through all the empty oil cooler and lines ? Started and the oil was all ready draining immediately even on a restricted line lol I don’t think i have a problem there mate . Also this turbos doesn’t like to much oil and im feeding way to much now If you are a Cummings guy you will know on this turbos
