@@tzvonar "the only way I noticed you are old is that fixed-line phone in the back :D " ?? Huh? It's just good sense to keep a landline, whether it's in reserve, or the primary connection. Age has nuthin' to do with it. Data going through a cable is exponentially more difficult to intercept, skim, snoop or block, than data going through the air. A cable (barring faults), will always give the same steady, stable, reliable throughput, 'cos you're not required to share the connection with anyone. Cellular networks however, tend to be inconsistent, volatile, unpredictable, choppy and *_UN_*stable, depending on how many other people are using them, and it's far too easy to interfere with the signal. With a landline / wired connection, the connection won't drop every time the neighbours use their microwave, or something metal gets in between the network transmitter and the cellular modem. It's simple critical path analysis and common sense forward planning.

Yeah. I learned guitar when I was 7 and was obsessed with shred guitar the entire time. I guess I practiced a crap ton. Guitar is one of those weird things for me where, I don’t remember learning my first language and I don’t remember learning guitar. And the skill was built up at such a young age that its not really something I practice, more something I just do now. Ive for sure put in my 10000 hours or whatever many times over but, age helps. I learned when I was young enough to not see it as a skill but, a thing I do. Like language, I don’t read every-time I wanna say something. I just say something. And arguably, speaking fluently is more complex than guitar in a lot of ways. But, like language as well, it wasn’t like I obsessed over it or spent hours learning every word or sentence by memory. I just picked it up. And I have no freaken clue how I do it.

I don't care what anyone says about shred guitar being mindless and having no soul, this just rocks dude. I don't see why it's so hard to understand that a lot of notes passing by at lightning speed is something that sounds good to some people, especially when the notes are well chosen, and this is a good example of that. And oh my, the work that you've put in to be able to write and play like this is unreal, and it's great to see you're still going strong!

i dont get it either, just cuz those same people dont like it and not appreciate it does mot mean everybody else should be the same, also they think they are judge and jury and can tell everybody else which musical piece has soul and which does not, and tbh all that having soul argument when it comes to music is just so stupid to me

It was the Nitro's Freight Train video (but he didn't say "check this band out"), and then and there he introduced me to the incredible Michael Angelo Batio. His own name resonated art to me, it's like was made for this. Hot damn I was hooked. The next thing I hear is this song and it's on my top list since then. Your playing is absolutely impressive. I think it is important to point out that this is one take, no editing, no cheating. And this is done by a guy who isn't in his 20s anymore, which makes this performance even more impressive. When I compare this to other guitarists from your generation a lot of them don't have the sharpness anymore or they just became slackers over the years (I don't blame them, for some it is just a physical problem and they can't do anything about it). But your chops are still stunningly sharp and clean. Just wow!

I guess there was a time that you studied hours and hours to learn well what you loved among all things: the Guitar. You wanted to be good, like your idol ... I don't know who it was, but today you are in the history of music, together with the greatest guitarists of all time, great among the great, now legend ...🎸 Greetings from Italy.

Michael Angelo Batio I will look into it. You are a cheerful, positive person. Alternate speed picking has always been difficult for me. I try different pick grips and angles. I have shaved picks into different shapes. Your picking is so clean. Your endurance is incredible.

Wow, as usual incredible guitar work. It is such an enjoyment watching you play. Would you consider doing a Black Sabbath tribute? Your awesome shred style mixed with the heavy Iommi riffs would be so cool. I bet so many of your followers would love to hear that. Thank you for keeping your fans entertained with your amazing talent.

This is some of the coolest sweep picking I've ever seen. Just up and down up and down flawlessly hitting the fret to each string as he strikes it with the pick. Sounds amazing

I still remember being my senior year in high school and convincing my teacher to show the og KZbin video of speed kills in the projector in class. Nobody believed me that it wasn’t sped up. Such unreal speed, I still love watching it!

I have to admit, in the beginning, before the original Intro from the studioversion, i was like: "Ah man, Michael is older now, shredding at the speed he used to earlier got pretty hard, but he's putting his own spin on his track"....but then the real part began. :D This guy, man....

Michael, I came to one of your guitar clinics in a music store in Clarksville TN in like 1992 or 1993. First time I had seen sweep picking and arpeggios. After seeing you (and reevaluating my life as a guitarist), off I went to learn them. Thanks for still sharing your gift all these years later!
