No Cache Wizard lvl 1 to GR70 in ~4.5h Season 28 Start Test Run

This run was done on the live server without the double massacre bonuses. I estimate that the leveling would be ~15-20min faster in S28 release and I imitated a few high level items that I would have crafted over time through paragons that I assigned as I progressed. Realistically I would have been a bit stronger close to level 70 because I assigned too few points.
Steps:
No Challenge Rift Cache (save for sacrifice at step 15 for S28 theme unlock)

Start Necro, T1 A2 bounty run

Steal Templar’s weapon, salvage his shield and Scoundrel’s bow

Go to Altar in New Tristram and unlock Doubled Massacre season theme

TP to all bounty waypoints once to snapshot nearby low level monsters, then go for Zoltun Kulle or Maghda first

Finish bounties in order hardest to easiest

At lvl 11, steal Enchantress’s weapon

Turn in cache (gives 1 DB and ~200k gold)

Reduce to hard, get Kanai’s Cube

(lvl 18+) Farm Zoltun Kulle/Maghda bounties for 2x Diamond or open the chest from first kill

Combine Diamonds into Flawless and sacrifice for S28 theme “Items have no lvl requirement”

Start your main class or keep leveling Necro, upgrade Blacksmith to 10, craft lvl 60 2h weapon

Start Torment 4 or 5 bounties, go act by act and gradually reduce difficulty to prepare for Haedrig's Gift
After one run, upgrade Blacksmith fully and craft level 70 2h weapon

Add more level 70 rare armor pieces as you progress
Finish one Bounty act at lvl 70 to get a Jeweler plan and buy the 2 m Gold Hellfire Ring plans (counts as 4) from Squirt in Act 2 to have a total of 5 for Season Journey
Finish leveling with T1-3 massacre bonuses in Temple of the Firstborn

i really love this lvling meta even though i probably dont play too much to reach the chache sacrifice in time i will lvl like this it doesnt seem that slower and finally u have to do different stuff to lvl instead of just massacre bonus in one area

This start, is what most of my practice runs looked like, I just low-rolled multiple packs in every single kill # of monsters bounty. PURE PAIN. Hopefully that's all of my bad luck outta the way for season start xD

I think I had a season recently where I whiffed on all the cache stuff, and took almost three hours to get to lvl 70. Edit - Yeah, it was the primal scream season. Went Monk to start, no good weapon power to cube, no crudest boots until after 70, and my rare weapon with -lvl req got like -5 or so. You’re an animal Wudi

What do you think will be better for solo push, wiz tal meteor or necro nova? Both are good for pushing i think, but wiz is faster doing t16 and speed gr

They'll both easily clear 150. Tal is probably a tiny bit better though.

About the LOD gem at the 1rst GR. I had the same pbl in my 5 training runs. I drop all my leg gems before the run and it's always giving me the LOD 1rst :/ And the powerfull seems to be randomized with others. Maybe the game change the order when we already had once

I'm getting a Challenge Rift shared since we got a mate joining us that will only play for the first Weekend, he unfortunately has a buisness trip for a week starting monday. What would you suggest doing for leveling after getting the second sacrifice point for the level requirement? I believe bounties is still the way to go given you want the caches for the season challenges? We will most likely be a Wizz, WD, Barb + x

First she create same class in season. Do challenge rift. Get blacksmith lvl 12 and Craft lvl 70 weapon and 8 other gear pieces. Then trade/drop. That’s all. I suggest skipping helm because you ONLY care about socket and helm reroll need mythic lvl 12. So a non socket lvl 70 helm is useless. Don’t reroll anything (account binds) don’t craft sage’s (untradable). If DH remember offhand for bow

@@Kris-S43 Ah you are amazing, thank you for the insight. Ok, so to min-max the absolute most, here is what I am thinking. Wife rolls DH, does C.R. makes gear, starts doing bounties. Meanwhile, I start my necro, hit 18, get altar to the no lvl requirement, then swap to my DH. I then join her game, she gives me the 70 bow and offhand and any other gear she crafted, turn in the bounty act that she did, leave her party start a T6 game and go farm massacre bonus until 70. Is my thought process on this correct, am I missing anything that could help me? Should I have her do like a full normal set of bounties while I level and then just enter her game for the turn in for mats or anything?

with lvl70 weapon wave of force is enough (at lvl32 arcane attunement rune), at 55 you can swap for arcane orb - frozen orb, almost infinite ressources with astral presence + familiar - arcanot + Magic Weapon - Conduit + storm amor - thunderstorm at 63 Black Hole - absolute Zero, dont even need to reduce difficulty from t6 until level 65. Wizard has one of the most powerfull 55-70 leveling time. I dislike desintegrate in general for massaker farming style of leveling, standing still is no option. In 5 runs i averaged at about 50minutes to get necro to 18, and wizard from 1-70. (only did 3 acts of bounties tho) Wudi needed 1hour 45 minutes to reach 70 and this is absolutely disgusting for a player with his experience.

@Narf sc2 What passives should we use with this build? I hit lvl 70 and I'm looking for a build (no cache used). It's my first season with Wizard. Or should we use another build?

Simple question, why not start as wizard ? is it because it only hits the first target at level 1 so you can't focus properly the ennemy you want ?

Pray for a gold goblin during the rush staart, so we can upgrade headrig =D, crafting mats wont be that much issue cause we always can go halls of agony and grab white items only then convert them into blue or yellow

Everyone keeps saying "do the bounties from hardest to easiest" but how does one know which is easy and which is hard?

He explained this in another Video. usually it's Boss first, then the Kill Bounties and at level 11 after you get the Enchantress Staff and get a new dmg boost you do the Clear Bounties. So the order is usually "Kill X Boss" into "Kill X named mob" into "Clear X area" :)

You don’t need to do T1 bounties at the start! You can do on master or hard, level to 18, get diamond, craft equippable lvl 30-50 gear, THEN (can restart on another class and) clear T1 bounty set for the DB.

yes they are viable but you have to be comfortable. the whole point of the t1 is to get the deaths breath to get level 9-10 crafter for higher level gear

If you level with someone you can do this a lot faster by globally snapshotting the entire game at lv 1

mob snapshot lvl 1 doesnt give you xp, so u have to do xp after cube cuz u dnt get 18 until this

@@lylechaussette9559 Right, but the massacre bonus itself overwrites the xp reduction and gives you the full xp from the monster. Then after a few levels and a weapon upgrade, you or a friend could complete the whole act 2 bounty on T6 while the lv 1 leaves the game. They rejoin once the bounties are done to get the cache and get 640 000 gold, enough to make a 70 weapon right away. Then after getting 18 and equipping your 70 weapon you can do massacre runs on T6 while your friend locks the game to something like 30 so you can still one shot everything, and keep doing it until 70.

He wanted to get to a certain level, around 38 I believe which he can do really fast with the weapon. It was to roll optimally at Kadala. There are planners online showing what chances there are to get different legendaries for blood shards at different levels

At lvl 34 you can get the magistrate from kadala. It has a higher dropchance at lvl 34 than at lvl 70

2 out of 3 people saying wrong info to you lmao, wtf why people do that.....first one says level 38 and another guy says 1 in 7 chance...NO....Its level 34 minimum so the Magistrate wizard hat shows in the loot pool from Kadala when you gamble and it is 1 in 9 chance....

The strat involves starting as necro and swapping at level 18 with very minimal time loss. Check his S28 Leveling without Cache video, which explains it in detail.
