Reminds me of this group entering Siege a few years ago. Rifles sticking out of their backpacks. Had to wave down one of the floor staff (since the person at the front counter went to the washroom). Those guys got the tearing down of a lifetime and was refused service for the day. Some people have ZERO common sense.

Good video! Airsoft guns are not toys and misuse can lead to disaster. One time at my local field I saw some dude take off his barrel sleeve off his fully loaded gun in the safe zone, he got in quite some trouble.

Didn't you guys mention this in a previous video?! A hard-case is nondescript, lockable, and protects your equipment. They are available at "Crappy Tire" for like $30. Awesome idea with a guitar case for public transit!!!

I was there for the time that the individual carried his replica out in the open(sadly shared a staging room with him too(was also a speed-softer)). Guy was a total douchebag terrible attitude. and confrontational. the problem is that a lot of the backwoods fields here in Ontario are SUPER lax when it comes to barrel covers, Rifle bags and carry methods and don't enforce that particular rule.

Really nice video. Touches on a very important subject, crucial to the well-being of players, business and the hobbie as a general. i travelled with the same case as the video, ensured everything has been locked and secured. However, someone still called the police on me. The officer then told me to bring something else, not to resemble the gun case if i use public transport in the future. What alternatives should i use? i don’t know what else to choose since i heard guitar cases and duffel bags can be troublesome when i got caught

A kid (he was 18, but i would still call him kid) in my area (Quebec) was taking pictures of himself with his cm16, he then threatened someone online with the photos, a couple months later after the police started an investigation which let to a raid, they kicked his door down and arrested him, they also ceased all his computer equipment and later they discovered that he was a sexually harassing under age girls and also stalking them both online and in person... 1-Don't ever pretend that its a real fire arm and tell people that it's a real gun. 2-Don't ever threaten anyone with an airsoft gun (or at all really) 3-Don't be a sexual predator.

In Canada, open carry is completely legal. Is it a good idea? Absolutely NOT. Will it potentially lead to a lawsuit, YES. Do all cops come out assuming it's a fake gun, NO. So you can do it completely legally, however not a good idea

I believe open carry only applies to hunting rifles and shotguns, not pistols or assault rifles

@@dave3952 Assault rifles don't exist under Canadian law. I can open carry a Type 97 all I fecking want if I am transporting it to a gun store or gun range provided the firearm is unloaded

At the beginning of the video you say that you don't want to have to make this video. I would disagree, I think for airsoft to be accepted wider in society it's very important that the discussion about safety and communication/image to 'outsiders' takes place frequently and on prominent platforms within the community. You shouldn't assume everyone thinks logically about carrying replicas around, we should teach and talk about it.

If you guys put together a mini safety course with a written test, maybe that could be used as future substance IF there ever is a need to defend this sport. Customers/participants have to stop being dumb (sorry to say that) because who actually would think it's okay to openly carry like that, and put this whole thing at risk

@@Alien_Spores No they don't have loaner bags. you're expected to provide your own equipment and carrying/concealment supplies. (if you rent it's a different story) I've got an M249 that I bought 2nd hand but I bought a second carry bag just for it.

The video is a good PSA, although I think it's a bad idea for you to state your last resort recommendations. People will be lazy and try getting away with doing those last resort methods. Additionally, the pan switching was giving me nausea with the video not being stabilized, and it being unnecessary. This is a serious video, and Steve is giving us a proper lesson on gun safety. Just like any parent or safety supervisor talking to you. It's uncomfortable direct eye contact all the way through.
