Does the story actually recognize that you are alone? Like will the npcs still delute to you being WITH companions or thinking you have them or does it actually know that you don't have them?

@@LotsofChicken ok, I played act 1 fully now as ig u can say "lonewolf" and so far only 2 occasions rose where it's delute to that the character is alone, 1 where you kick the squirrel and when I first rested. Everything else played out just the same as if I had companions even the dialogue where the character themselves delutes to having companions. Is there something am missing or is it just THAT rare?
