This makes sense. Pile #3. This has been an ongoing thing with someone I’ve known for 23 years. We have been on and off because of his drug use for about two years. The routine is he up and leaves for a few months and then comes back and wants to start over. The last time we spoke he called me from jail in a town across state. This time I was seeing someone else and told him. The reason I gave up on him was because of something he did that broke my trust, which I explained. He wanted to start over. I refused even though I immediately stopped seeing the other person. I’m guessing he started a new life out there. Maybe he got clean and doesn’t want come out here thinking he might relapse, or mad at me or scared of rejection. I stood my ground, said what I had to say cause it was hurting me. Pile 3. I’ve honestly given up on our connection. I did everything I could. She told me after a while of us talking after the breakup that she didn’t want a relationship, that didn’t crave one. That she didn’t wanna talk to anyone in that way, because it was too stressful. So I just apologized for my mistakes and asked for forgiveness but she has a hard time forgiving. and made just told them that I didn’t want them texting me or anything unless she had a change of heart because I was just gonna move on and work on myself and for her to just randomly come back to give me hopes again is just bs. That I was glad we met but that I was not gonna be with someone who doesn’t feel the same way about me as I do for them. They have been stalking my social media but I blocked them now. They have been stalking me on their other account but I stopped checking if they have stalked me for three days already because I don’t wanna care about that anymore. Also to be fair her life is very stressful on it’s own so yeah. But it’s not fair for me to just be led on whenever she misses me. I don’t believe in the whole meant to be thing, but if it’s true and we’re meant to be someday the work will do it’s thing and if not then someone else will be better for me. Also I feel like it was just a karmic relationship, we clicked instantly got super comfortable. Super attached to each other. We moved on so quick on the third week I asked her out also because she was kind of waiting on me to do it so if I’m being honest I did want to but I felt kinda rushed to do it. We got intimate really quick. which started a lot of problems with the family and stuff. I learned like a lot from this relationship. About self love, about taking things at a slower pace. About dealing with my emotions and others. About healthy love. About my attachment style and trying to heal my childhood traumas. About trying to be perfect and knowing no one can be perfect therefore I don’t need to be perfect to be loved. So much stuff man. Id like to try things again with her but I’ve given up. I’m not gonna fight for it anymore I did enough. It hurts a lot cuz I really loved them but it’s gonna be okay. When I find myself getting sad or really anxious I just tell myself that it’s over that this had to happen. That this was the best for me.

As much as I want P2 to be the truth, P3 seems much more likely. We were both at a low point in life and I projected a bunch of bs on to him out of fear, resulting in a lot of toxicity. Pile 2… this is a VERY complex situation. I am pregnant with his child. We got into an argument about his online activities… ended with us just insulting each other and me leaving because he was too stubborn to realize what he was doing behind my back. I’m very apprehensive about reaching out. I think now is the time for us both to be focusing on our own healing but at the same time we have to come together for the baby at some point. I don’t know when the right time would be to attempt communicating, I don’t know if I should be the one to reach out or if I should wait for him. But at the end of this year we will both have a new child in this world. Most importantly I don’t want him to interrupt my healing process because it hadn’t been the first time he hurt me. He did tell my mother he is going to therapy, I am afraid if I make my presence known that he will stop, which would be really counterproductive and time-wasting. if he hasn’t changed by the time November rolls around, I won’t be able to let him back in.
