Thank you so much. We tend to rely on our gadgets way too much. Feel like the inspector with the number of stuff i own. Sometimes I forget that we really don't need most of them.

I never thought of a button or tape tube! The plastic angles idea is especially going to really help me! Thank you for these great ideas!

I've made a template from an old gift card for the corners too and I use it all the time. You can do one for round corners as well. Just trace around different sized round objects cut them and you can use it the same way like the one for the angled corners just line it up trace around and cut the corners. It's way easier than lining up bottons or coins every time. Works for the thumb wholes as well. You just need to cut at the edges instead of the corners. This way you can make a template for different sized thumb wholes also. I still have all my templates I've made as I started crafting and I still use them from time to time.

Thanks for these tips Ceri, I'd never thought of a button, that is such a good idea, although recently I bought a series of circles on a mathematics template which has lines to line it up half ways, and if I want a thumb notch, I find a circle that fits my thumb and use that, had I known about a button though I'm sure I would have used that, thanks again Ceri, your tips are always helpful even for non newbies.

On that blue card thing, you could also put a couple of circular holes, of different sizes, in it to give you a stencil, basically, for the rounded corners/tab punch. That way you'd have an all in one.

I did it "old school" for a long time. I finally gave in and bought myself a corner rounder and a circle punch. I still do the slant corners and tabs the "old school" way. I allow myself one new craft item each month, the tab punch is at the top of my list.

This is so very beneficial, Ceri. Thank you. I've done the corner bit by cutting one angle and using it to cut the opposite, but didn't think of the other ones. I really like the template idea too. I imagine one could make a template using the buttons on it also, then you could use the buttons elsewhere. Great ideas! As my grandfather used to say, "Use it up. Wear it out. Make it do or do without." Blessings to you!

I was planning to make an arduous journey, tomorrow, across the Sahara, Gobi and Taklamakan deserts to get to the nearest Hobby Lobby (well, ok, in reality it's a two bus and a train journey😉) to buy corner rounders, but this video gives me cheaper options, plus punches seem to dull relatively quick, and the tin foil trick does not always work.
