I can't understand why SFA aren't the biggest band in the world. I mean this is how you do pop music and a pop career. It's so beautiful, idiosyncratic and subversive. Also...... there is something essentially north Wales about them...SFA. ok.

I think 21st century audiences are far too conservative in their listening habits. Everything is compartmentalized - you like pop, here's pop, you like rock, here's rock, here's folk, here's electronica. Mix them all up at your peril Unfortunately SFA were too diverse in their sound, the radio and record labels just didn't know what to do with them so they kinda fell through the cracks commercially I'm convinced if they had existed in the 60s/70s they would've been huge. Audiences were much more open to unusual sounds back then
