@@sun332s7 The main reason people hate it (and Drytrons) is because they usually play the "You Can't Play The Game" strategy. Eldlich done right is a fantastic support archtype for any Zombie deck. Eldlich done meta is cancer.

You know what's the best feeling? Playing Gravekeepers and going first turn Necrovalley against Eldlich. Unless they have an immediate out to Necrovalley, it just turns off almost all of their deck. GKs are actually kind of viable in Master Duel, if only because Necrovalley is such a massive beating to so many of the meta decks.

Since the Golden Boy in hand is a counter in itself to Necrovalley, I've found it pretty hard to beat Eldlich when they also play the "discard 1, banish 1 card on field" trap card. That gives them 4-5 non destruction outs.

I did something like this 2 days ago with a old school remove from play deck. He summoned two eldrich and hit me directly for 3500 right into a tempest inferno which then led into 3 necrofaces. I had a very long and drawn out duel vs eldlich with my Mekk-knights but they had every floodgate at their disposal. I won by normal summoning and using a 2000 attack beatstick on one of his weak monsters. A shame he couldn't negate a normal summon.

@@sun332s7 Through Witchcrafter Aruru. Aruru's effect is if a Witchcrafter is trageted for an attack or card effect, you can return one card your opponent controls or 1 Witchcrafter spell from your graveyard to the hand. (This activates on your hand so it isn't affected by skill drain)

I just got back into Yugioh recently and I wasn't sure why everyone hated the Eldlich archetype until I saw that it was a part of the meta. I just always liked Zombies so this paired well with my Shiranuis who run like 3 spells and traps of their own anyway. Playing Eldlich by itself feels lack luster.
