Hate to bring it to you but this is a pro Western media. If you actually look into non-biased news you'll see that it wasn't 400 soldiers, it was 35 soldiers. And no official reports that they surrendered. In fact it should be a shock to people that a small group of Russian soldiers managed to get behind enemy lines and capture the plant. Although encircled, they're still able to get resupplied by drones effectively and small reinforcements of Russians managed to slip in to reinforce them which is how it went from a small group to 35-ish

The proper (and only) way to decisively dissuade Putin from using tactical nuclear weapons it to make it clear as day that ANY use of nuclear weapons by him, no matter how "limited," outside Russia's borders will be met with a full-on strategic counterstrike against ALL Russian military targets across its entire territory, and that any further nuclear escalation by Russia will trigger its total obliteration. Putin thrives on bluffing to intimidate his enemies, and the only possibly remedy here is to call his bluff. Furthermore, NATO needs to wake up and understand that WW3 is already in progress, and they only decision before its members right now is on whose territory they would like to fight this war -- Ukraine's or its own. If Putin is given a chance to put Russia's entire economy on a war footing and recover his military and supply capabilities, there'll be HELL to pay for all of us (including U.S. and Canada) just a few years down the line. Let's not make the same mistakes as Europe had made in the runup to WW2 -- appeasement of brutal, ambitious, imperially-minded dictators doesn't calm them down, but oh, boy, does it ever cost everyone dearly!
