Theses turned out great and any reader would love one marking their page. Your clothes pins are a great idea and colouring them with ink and collaging paper over them, an emeroy board would clean those rough edges off. Congratulations on 500 subscribers Miss Darling!!!

Thank you so much, Diane. I didn't have an emory board handy and didn't want to stop filming to go get one. Silly me. But I should have mentioned it for viewers. Thanks for the reminder. Thanks too for the 500 vote. I got there and then slipped back again, sigh. Will keep on keeping on, as they say.

These are beautiful and unique. I wish I had the patience for craft, I mostly express myself in digital art.

Thank you! Cheers, Bemmie. I do the digital masterboards too but I think my first love is the handmade variety for the touch and feel - and the more limited challenges.

I sure had fun making these and there is no end to what could be done, really. Create your own assembly line and mass produce them so you always have some go-to ephemera no matter what you're making. Be sure and check my Etsy shop for more resources plus the description box for links to what I used in this video. And if this video was of value, I invite you to give it a like and share it with others. Many thanks. Blessings!

Where did you get all your butterflies? This looks like a fun project to do with my kids!

Oh my gosh, from many different sources over the years. But I also have my own butterfly kit available for you to download on my Etsy shop ar Miss Darling Arts. It would be very fun to do with kids.

I’m a beginner crafter and appreciate your videos so much! You’re a good teacher! I have problems with getting brush stroke marks whenever I use paint or Mod Podge. What am I doing wrong?
@MissDarlingArts Жыл бұрын
You didn’t say what type of paint you’re using so I can only guess. It could be too much water or the brush size or not enough paint on the surface. Unless it’s watercolor you need to apply paint generously to the surface so it forms small peaks or streaks from the hairs of the brush and then your strokes will be visible. Hope this helps.

You’re likely not applying enough paint to see the brush strokes. It is a common mistake beginners make either out of anxiety or to conserve paint for financial reasons. However in watercolor you’ll only see brush marks with a dry brush and little paint, just the reverse of oils and acrylics. Let me know if this solves your problem. Cheers. Unless I read your question wrong. Seeing brush strokes is a choice depending on the desired effect. What paint genre are you using?
