I’ve been battling demons and depression for almost 5 years now, and I’m getting stronger everyday. As a guy who no just lost his one and only friend I feel so relatable with Elliot. Social anxiety is hard to deal with and u go into a state of denial that at the end of the day u don’t need friends. But at the end of ur life u remember how u had that mindset and were just trying to cover up ur pain. U always tell urself u don’t need friends to pass the time but u just know u need a single reason of why u have no friends and not just the fact that u have social anxiety. And with his hobby of gardening, that’s a coping mechanism to pass time with something u love doing, but it’s more a activity to avoid people.

The level of relatability Elliot has to me is downright frightening... The portrayal of Elliot's feelings throughout the video and the way social anxiety can affect the way a person communicates with those around them is very accurate! I can relate to a certain extent to this. Day of my life during school. Feel so alone and just never able to be truly myself, but when I’m hanging out with my friends at a certain place where I feel comfortable is where I truly am me. Anxiety sucks, but I know that I’m not alone.
