No Ghost Cerb Guide (15+ kill trips w/ 2 ppots!)

Update: yes this still works, it won't be patched.
The poll to update cerb to a demon passed. This means the best weapons in order from best to worst is now: inquisitors mace, bludgeon, arclight, hasta, whip
This is my first guide video so apologies it's pretty clearly rough around the edges. I didn't explain that rarely Cerb can spawn ghosts at the end of the kill which is when you should use your spec weapon.
IMPORTANT: You CANNOT go under the boss and eat during the first phase of the fight. If you go under, you will stall Cerb's cycle and even if you attack after the 56 second timer goes off, you will still spawn the ghosts. Luckily, you don't need to go under the boss since you will have more than enough time to lower his health to 400 and heal before the first 56 seconds are up.
Stats:
Mid 90s melee stats
Lower stats will need to attack Cerb in a 2:1 cycle after the first 56 seconds by walking under the boss after 2 hits. This method reduces damage taken but is hard to pray flick and do which is why I avoid it.
Gear:
Hasta/Bludgeon over Whip
Dinh's bulwark is very nice to use in the phase after doing 200dmg with guthans but before you can attack. (ty reddit post by mikeee1994)

With 99 in all melee stats I can't believe how consistent this is! Every now and again you have to stop dps to wait out the 56 seconds but holy shit this method is fantastic. Ty for the vid dude keep up the great work!

did this method on my iron, saved a ton of supplies, all crystal in 390 kc. only thing i would add on top on this guide is time stamps. at 41ish sec prepare for tripple attack. same with 1 min 20. 1 min 16 and 1 min 40 he will drop pools if hes sub 200 hp. start running the tick before pool to save some hp and extending the trip. great guide and gl everyone

Good guide man. P.S. I understand that the guides are different. My guide said to keep her above 400 for 30 seconds. Didn't realize 1 minute would allow you to consistently skip both rounds of souls.

This is great, nice find. So, to summarize, if I understand correctly: 1. Start 56 second time on fist hit of Cerb 2. Fight to near 400 hp and STOP fighting Cerb 3. Wait for timer to end 4. DPS the rest of the kill It sounds like at my "step 4" is the moment another time starts, where you basically have another 60 (or 56?) seconds to kill Cerberus before another ghost wave spawns?

Since this video I have achieved over 30 kills in a single trip with max melee stats, full guthans, an arclight, 2 super combats, and 4 prayer potions. I believe with a blood fury and max crush you could probably double that kills per trip if not more which is absolute insanity although it requires 1t flicking for a few hours which is probably the worst part.

You aren't 1 tick flicking. If you don't 1t flick your prayers then your trips are much shorter. My record is a 30 kill trip with 4 pray pots.

How does that much food last you 15+ kills?! first kill he smacked you down a fair bit even on the first kill, and you can't rely on guthans surely. Good guide though - trick definitely works and I'm using it on my ironman right now

Guthans actually helps massively since unlike other cerb methods you actually do ~200 dmg with it every kill so over 15 kills it averages nearly 750hp healed. Also, praying against the triple attacks and timing your runs for lava pools (tick perfect) are required for 15kc trips. You kinda just get a feel for when they come after a while since it's a set pattern (I didn't dodge them in this video because I was focused on the recording). Counting cerb's attacks also works but I've gotten to the point where I just know. Without guthans and dodging the attacks your trips will be a lot shorter but honestly you'll use like 0 ppots since I usually don't even take a sip until my 5th kill with this method.

Once I implemented 1-tick flicking and counting the attacks for pools etc I managed to consistently get between 10-15 KC trips. I'd have finished Cerb very early but I went dry on just pegasians until 1750kc! Thanks for the guide @fall_N

I’ve had same problem, I’ve done this method with Blowpipe and tanking using Bulwark till 56 sec - Has worked well, though I’m 99 range with maxed gear. Good luck 😊

What I do is just watch my prayer icon. The moment my prayer drains from the first ghost, i go flick to the next one and repeat. Works every time.

I just power out the kills but the trick is to switch the the prayer of the first ghost. When pp drop switch to the next. You will never miss again.

That's a different method. He is skipping the first set of souls by waiting 30s. In his way you will almost always see a set of ghosts at the 1m mark, but you will never see more than 1 set of ghosts. My method is different and means you never see any ghosts, albeit it is slower so it's only useful for irons. For all main accounts I'd suggest doing the "skip souls" method rather than "no souls"

No the timer is 100% exact unless you stand underneath cerb. If you delay any of his attacks then the cycle also gets delayed so you have to stand to the side and tank his hits.

ive used bludgeon and hasta and to be honest i found spectral spirit shield and abby dagger works so much better, you can select only str xp with abby dagger instead of shared only with hasta, it hits the same and you dont need to bring a switch

One other important note for those of us who don't know how to run a stopwatch properly or get off sync through game lag... Wait at just above 400 hp and let Cerb toss his combo attack. All you need to do is wait the two standard auto attacks (perfect time to eat) and start smacking once the third attack leaves Cerb. I have found watching that rather than monitoring the stop watch to be a more reliable method. With this in mind, I really wish Jagex could show boss health on mobile. That's how easy this method is.
