I’m so happy that I came across this interview. I’ve been subscribed to Kevin’s channel for years and it’s cool that I’m finally finding out about his life before the lions.

Kevin is talking about respect of the lions. And Kevin has deep, profound respect for all of his lions, which set the stage, so to speak, for all of his relationships.

I’d love to ask Kevin if it has ever happened that one of his lions has become aggressive and the other lions have come to his defence. My heart is in my mouth whenever I see him playing with animals that could so easily kill him.

I love this clip because it tells a simple truth. You are being moved to a remote culture and you don't know what do you do? You watch listen and learn. What do they do in certain circumstances? What are the rules or laws? What do they eat? What is the social structure? What Kevin has done is learned the rules and cultures of the lion society and as a courtesy he follows them. It really isn't rocket science it's respect. He isn't interacting under his cultures rules because they don't matter here. This is about the morays of lions and pride dynamics.

quote of the year for me "eye contact is good but steering is bad" am so glad Kevin started talking myths and theories.. i own a super aggressive dog who lives amongst a violent pack and so i fully understand Kevin.. fantastic dude

RottieShep CALIBRE The word is “staring” as in “The young boy was staring at the beautiful car”. The word “steering” would be used as in “The captain was steering a true course toward our destination”. Big difference.

Kevin I would like to know your reaction to people who communicate with animals with their minds. I've watched a couple of shows on thought communication by Anna Breytenbach and if you believe in that have you done the same. By the way live your videos, I'd love to go back to Africa some day. Stay Well.

People tend to think they know so damn much about animals, giving other people advice on how to deal with them and all that when they have hardly any clue at all. How could anyone claim to understand lions when most people, including their owners, hardly understand dogs, let alone cats?
@connieroberts5954 жыл бұрын
Kevin knows what he's doing. I have two large house cats and Kevin is right with what he says. I have a very good relationship with my cats with much love. You have to see things in their eyes and their minds. Humans try to be domineering and go about it all wrong. Once they know you understand their ways and quit being a dictator type, they will love you and do most anything for you as long as it goes along also with the cat world.They will develop their own way of communicating with you. Yes they love and yes they have feelings and emotions.

Exactly what I intended to say. Kevin is one of the VERY few people who actually knows what he's talking about when it comes to cats (or hyenas)

@dalemcnamee24274 жыл бұрын
So, this is more important than Graham's information and wisdom in dealing with lions... He also does the same with leopards and hyenas... All of them were hand raised by him so they aren't as "wild" as other ones, like the one that attacked the 22 year old woman via an open car window... So, you all can go to what ever JSW/PC whiny You Tube channels are available... I appreciate what Graham has to say and always learn something about the lions and their world and how they see things...

It is too bad that Kevin ultimately chose to make certain videos for only the viewers who can pay a monthly price to see them and those who can't sometimes get "edited" videos. Many fans who loyally supported his causes when and how much they could were shown no appreciation when he started his KZbin Memberships thus keeping certain content from them. I hope he one day returns to letting all his paying fans see all the videos he produces.
@salanco1648 Жыл бұрын
Its $5 a month and we get 2 videos a month. Sadly people will only donate if they have an incentive to. Considering he puts so so many videos up for free and has for years, you really shouldn't complain.

You think what he does is cheap? He has sponsors but he has a lot of bills to pay. You feel hard done by because you don't get full videos? lol. Suck it up and pay for the membership or just appreciate that you get any videos at all..

@guyfanno1Ай бұрын
@@150_akakage In his very early years where he was first introduced to lions and eventually offered a job, the park basically forced employees to carry a gun. He did so only for a short time to keep his job and got rid of it as soon as he could. So yes he did have a gun but he hated having to carry it.
