hey KB. ive been watching alot of ur trick tip vids and they really help me out. i just recently got ur deck and it is amazing. the flat nose and tail make 5050 tricks easier. Im from the bay area and i skate with Gary Holl and know Maria and Richie Carrasco pretty well. im actually going to be down in San Diego in late July and would be koo to go skate with you. Im a big fan and it would be koo to skate.

I try to do this trick without a freestyle board, and when my foot that slides up balances at the top my foot starts to hurt when doing it. Any tips?

Fightafool Haven't learnt it fully yet but I use a street board too, it help having better shoes with more material at the front. It's helped me

Does the trick still count if you don't hold it in the thruckstand? Because i Do all the flips but right when i get into the trukstand, i flip it.

Hi, quick follow up question. I've been trying these for about 3 months now and I (until I saw this video) have only been able to land it with the foot that was on the truck (my other other ends up on the floor). After seeing this I started practising by putting myself into a no hand 50-50 like the bit of the Redination Combo and flipping out of that seems much easier because I feel a lot more over the board. I was wondering if when you're doing these you are over or behind the board? Thanks.

i always have trouble with this 1. i dont have a lot of money. so i cant just go out and buy new completes. so i just replace a deck when its broke. but i skate an 8" darkstar with thunder trucks same width. so i do all these freestyle tricks with a street board. and this truckstand always messes me up. any advice with a street board because i know the balance and transfer is different. even the balance for any of the casper tricks are different. but any help would be nice. thxs

Isn't a 5050 a grind and what he's doing a truckstand?

Before grinds, "truckstands" used to be called 50/50 fingerflips as in the basic variant you would do a half fingerflip, step on the truck while keeping your hand on the nose, and the complete the fingerflip to close the trick. Even if not done from a fingerflip the name 50/50 stuck with the trick until modern skating evolved. Freestylers still call it 50/50.
