If the Taco control has a priority switch, maybe mentioned below the hot water has to be satisfied first . So if the circulator for the hot water is bad, the control will not be satisfied to allow heat to the other circulators- no 120V. When you replace hot water circulator, the Taco will allow the other heat zones to work. That might be the issue as others have mentioned.

could it be a bad fuse under the relay also if this is a Taco SR503 zone 1 is priority when the jumper is removed should say right on board. The way its acting with Zone 1 having 120v on it that its in priority mode and the other two zones won't come on until zone 1 is satisfied. This won't happen until you check out circulator on water heater.

I don't have a problem with biodiesel. Ran it in my car for years when I had a diesel car. Ran it in boilers in several houses for many years as well. It's not an issue if the correct filters and piping are used. 1 pipe system is a bad idea, sludge will build up in the bottom of the tank if the oil doesn't circulate. With 2 pipe it doesn't. Double filters are a good idea as well. Make sure to use the bio rated filters, the others have rubber that reacts badly with the fuel. Certain nozzles don't run well with the fuel either. Hollow (A and H) are a bad idea. Delavan regular solid (B) tend o have issues too. Nozzles with brass components also don't work as well. The best to use are Hago B and SS, Steinen S and Q, and Monarch A and AR. Danfoss is coming out with special nozzles now, the HVO series. Do the right things and there are no issues. My mother's house has been running on B100 for years. Double filters on each appliance. Furnace has an ancient Beckett SR with a J pump. Never has an issue. The point is, MA is going to ban oil at some point. They can't ban biodiesel because it's carbon neutral. They're already going that direction with gas. Would you rather change your filters once a year or heat with those stupid heat pumps. I know what I would rather do, I like my oil heat and I'm not getting rid of it for any reason.

my heating oil filter i change every other year and its still good, we dont have that bio stuff here. & i change the nozzle each year. then of course what ever is needed as needed. its just a basic forced air mobile home furnace. pretty simple.

There is already ethanol based diesel and it doesn't look to be a problem. Ethanol in aviation is coming but i am guessing you will have to run it in aircrafts that are meant for it.

You're talking about changing oil in cars. In piston airplanes the recommendation is to change the oil every 35 hours. 25 to 50 is typical for most people and organizations, the 35 comes from analysis of when the additives start losing effectiveness. The filter is changed as well and the old filter cut open to look for any metal. Also not a bad idea to send the oil in to Blackstone Labs for an analysis to get wear trends by metal content. All this for where having your engine work properly is very important. If your car engine is important to you, more frequent oil changes are a cheap way to help protect your investment.

The new bio heating oil has ethanol, ethanol is hydrophilic. So ya it attracts and absorbs moisture from the air.

The same thing happened on my 09 Jetta tdi until I used the Mann filter with the straight pleats. The other filters that are zig zagged are gabage. Haha

My mother has one of those. Amsoil makes a filter with synthetic media. The only one I have found that doesn't collapse.

@@ChaseGibson-s7d Thanks bro, flattering really. I use WIX filter generally. local NAPA store has them in Cross lake. but don't go 10K miles, unheard of in parts around here. Days were, it was 2, 3,000 miles for Dinosaur syrup. I'll do another fuel filter change, down the road. wow, cool.

You can but it’s not gonna do anything. Best thing you can do if top off with oil at the end of heating season. So there’s no air in the tank. As for the sludge there’s nothing you can do. It comes from the oil. If you live in Europe the oil is cleaner and doesn’t do this. But in the states it’s always gonna happen.

Don't worry about jet fuel in planes. It is a highly refined version of kerosene. Why? Kerosene remains a flowing liquid at extreme cold temperatures. "Jet A is primarily used in the United States. This fuel is developed to be heavier with a higher flash point and lower freezing point than standard kerosene"
