To be fair, he did ask if he could respond to the new challenge and Andhera said yes, so it was his right to choose a new weapon as he is the challenged party. Would have been pretty bad if Andhera was allowed to do radiant damage 😁

Pretty wild turn of events. Wuvvy gets owned by Hobs, andhera interupts duel, wuvvy lies says andhera is their 2nd, Hobs goes along with the lie to avoid andhera bringing huge shame on himself for interupting a duel. So a new second is named and now Hobs is in danger of being tag teamed as he's bloodied and a second challenger jumps in. Kinda BS.

The good news is I'm pretty sure Brennan's plan B if not allowed to choose the weapon was to try to angle to choose the time and place, which would've at least secured a long rest for a fair fight. He down played Hob's mechanical load out in the adventuring party, but I think he still might fare pretty well against Andhera with the action surge and all of the manuvering dice. The smites wouldn't be pretty, but the rage would still sponge up all the weapon attack damage. Plus I feel like there's probably some shenanigans that come from Hob's freaky 15 foot reach. If his movement is greater than the opponent, he could probably attack from a distance and then retreat beyond their movement speed to prevent a melee attack under some circumstances
