When I was in my early 20s I used to run all over the McDowell Mtns like they were my personal playground. Knew where the secret hippy grottos were as well as hidden spring that allowed me to gorrila camp out there. Visited home last year and tried making it up to Tom's Thumb in August and only made it 2/3 of the way before deciding I'd had enough 😅 I moved somewhere cold and didn’t realize how much I'd climatized to my new weather. Used to run around there in 100+ temps and barely break a sweat and now it's a whole different story lol.

i wish i could do stuff like that, i used to live in a trailer park that about half of it is no longer used, and it's purely overgrown by trees and plants from being empty so long i used to run all around the wooded area there and would having our by an old dead fallen tree you had to climb, went there and couldn't climb it anymore from not doing it for so long lol

Lol, same! 70s to the 90s it was nothing to hike Ridgeline in the Superstitions. Recently do Wave Cave and it kicked my ass! 60 with a pacemaker, I’ll still get out there, it just takes a lot longer!
