The entire atmosphere of this game is so well evocative of chronic major depressive disorder with coupled anxiety. It's such a slow burn, droning dread. There are moments of positivity, but you are always suspicious of them because you feel that impending sense of it being immediately followed up with something terrible. And you hate how you feel like life answers that question with "Yes, you were right" giving validation to the dread. In a weird way also, the characters in these stories who have the most ambivalence towards carrying on living are the ones who do, while the ones who are the most afraid of dying or fight the hardest against it seem to fall first.

@@ThatDwag69Here’s the thing, I think the shirtless guy that comes and speaks to you on certain nights actually is the same tall creature. Given the tall creature is also shirtless and wears a smile. I didn’t put it together at first but I think that’s what it’s supposed to be. Which honestly makes sense since the shirtless guy will kill you if you’re home alone and the tall creature kills anyone that’s not safely in a home after a certain point. The creature’s face from a distance looks sallow and sad but the shirtless guys face doesn’t but I chalk that up to a perspective thing.

Last week, I was alone in my house with my two cats. Before that week, I saw a few videos about this. The idea of being lurked by someone and knows that I'm alone to take me and never been heard of again really is scary. The fourth night of being alone, it was very windy, and the door of my house vibrated a lot. So I turned on the TV, every light I had, and fell asleep later than usual.
