I know two people who went to Germany to pursue their master's degrees. Both of them got jobs before completing their studies, despite having no prior job experience. One of them also had language skills. 1. The first person is studying in the CSE department and lives in Frankfurt. His profile was strong in terms of projects, GitHub, networking, and showcasing his skills in interviews. His language skills were also good. Despite having no prior job experience, he received job offers from several IT companies. For a fresher, having projects or internships is crucial for gaining job experience. 2. The second person got a job in German military engineering within a year of arriving, despite having no language skills. According to them, simply studying is not enough. You need to gradually work on everything necessary to get a job from the beginning. If you wait until after finishing your studies to do these things, you may end up feeling frustrated.

Completely agree on this one. I personally know a student who recently got a job before finishing masters and without any prior experience. It’s all about how hard you work. Opportunities are still there for the ones who have the right skills and wiling to work hard.

So, I would like you to cover topics such as starting salaries, total living expenses and savings that can be done, and job markets of life science and non-IT fields. Would also like to know the current situation of part-time, working student and mini jobs in tier 1, 2 and 3 cities. Keep coming up with such great videos. Thank you.

All depends upon what your field is and how big the company is that you are getting into. Fields like CS, EC, Semiconductor tech, IT and Biomed has starting salaries in the range of 57k-65k in many big companies in their respective fields. Also, if one is already living in a smaller city he can save a lot more

@venkatramprasad11572 ай бұрын
@@AsliArtist 80k euro savings will be zero if you get married and live a decent life with a car and not an ultra miser life. Instead of doing masters in Germany spending money if you had been in startups like Swiggy you would have been dollar millionaires with the Swiggy IPO. Plus with the advent of AI masters degrees themself are not much of importance now. Plus most post grad colleges dont teach relevant skills because relevant skills keeps quickly changing. So India is a growing country and has lot of opportunities. Just using currency benefit and trying to make money by saving money is an old thought process.

The problem in Germany is not that there are no job openings, the problem is that they wont fill those openings even if you are a good candidate. Germans have very high trust issues and wont get convinced that you can do the job unless your cv says so. They wait for a 100% match candidate for years. Then there is language issue which is another big factor. Its not easy to find a job in Germany as each interview process takes 2 months on an average. So, if you are planning to come on a Job seeker visa, please be very very careful.

People often miss the word SKILLED when they hear about labour shortage. Germany needs skilled professionals rather than freshers. I know so many people who have completed their masters and has been searching for job since more than a year even after having job experience. But it also depends from which sector you belong too..students from IT sector usually get the job faster compared to others. And if you are from Purchasing, Sales, Project Management as in where you need to deal with customers then you HAVE TO know German atleast B2 level. Honestly the job situation for freshers is not good in Germany and when you don’t have job after completing your masters you will face visa issues, tax class issues, finding house( you cannot live in student dorm if you are not a student and private home owners won’t give you house on rent if you don’t have a job) and a lot of things, which in India won’t make a difference because you have your family to support you. If you have extreme financial situation and if your family is dependent on you then please don’t take the risk. It’s not about only quality education anymore it’s about mental stress and helplessness comes with it. Because here you not only have to study or work, you manage everything on your own and German bureaucracy is literally so bad. And as most Indians we tend not to share our problems with our family or even friends which takes a toll on mental health. So please consider everything and decide. I hope everything works out for everyone.

Even the expenses in Germany are in Euro. Your monthly expenses in Germany are 10 times more than in India. So comparing in Indian Rupees is not fair from any angle because the expenses there are in Euro and not in Indian Rupees. The earnings are in Euro, so the expenses are also in Euro. The whole family can spend lavishly here in the money that one person would spend there.

Yeah exactly why everyone is saying so good things about germany. The more the people will migrate the more german's will make sure there people over others get prioritized. So people who migrated in 90s and 80s mostly they are doing businesses Less people are in the field of technical or medical or working under any employer. Germany is not like US its a small country so opportunity will be less. Job safety in germany is a dream now coz of companies getting bankrupted. A native german family friend of mine were discussing how businesses were shutting down quite in a huge number. its impacting in number of employement opportunities too. So people should not trust on everything you listen and hear from far the mountains always looks green. Everybody have there fair share of struggle some get over it quickly and some cannot .
