I really appreciate that you start with chroma INSTEAD of "undertone". I think this undertone business is really whats causing so much difficulty for people. When I started looking more into color theory chroma was so easy for me to see in myself. I love bright colors but Im definitely medium. There are some soft hues I can wear and a couple of brighter colors...but really medium is best.

I agree that it is much easier to determine the Root Skin Color instead of non-existent undertones (that is a subjective perception depending on the analyst, their eye health and biology, and their mood that day). When you introduce science to the matter, it becomes more reliable, objective, and accurate. Chroma is one of the major aspects that many women purposely don't follow in their younger years to appear bright as forced by the beauty industry. I found that all color types have either wide, medium, or narrow chroma type.

for chroma and depth, every person will have a unique spectrum of wide or narrow. Example1 : Someone has a narrow chroma type, meaning they cannot choose a wide range of chroma in colors. If you have a narrow bright chroma type you should stay with fairly bright colors and avoid medium and soft chroma colors. Example 2: Someone has a wide depth type which means they can choose colors from deep to light. Does that answer your question?

white is not aligned with most color types. But if it is there are various possibilities to combine it depending on your contrast type.

true, in some cases where they are wearing a ton of makeup it is more difficult. Especially, when the colors are not right for them.
