I know you basically didn't ask for it but I'mma resume this the best I know. So, the story begins with Shen Yuan, a boy who likes to "criticize" a writer's work, "Proud Imortal Demon Way", he ends up dying after shoking on a meat ball (I felt the necessity of saying this detail) and thus ends up transmigrating into the world of the story, occupying the body of the original villain Shen Quinqqiu, the original character however ends up dying in the original story by the hands of the protagonist (who hates the og villain's guts because Shen Quinqqiu treated him badly before pushing him off a cliff), so now Shen Yuan tries to change his fate by trying to be a decent human being and taking care of the protagonist, Luo Bingghe, before he starts to hate him and decide to kill him. Unfortunately he isn't able to do this immediately due to the fact that he is followed and kept in track by a "system", which is responsible for taking and adding points, in which a low number of points might lead to his death, so to not die and raise suspicion he tries to act as much as possible as the original villain however without being so cruel, there are some events and quests this system provides him to do, and some are canon events, therefore they cannot be changed, and one of these events is the one where the Shen Quinqqiu pushes Luo Bingghe off a cliff after finding out he's a demon (or part demon, I'm not sure), after 3 years Luo Bingghe is able to come back, and I'm not gonna give more spoilers after this because if you think the story was already difficult to understand then you're gonna find the next part even more difficult, but lemme just say that I think they get married in the end. (If anything I said, including the names, is wrong then pls tell me so I can correct it)

@@yasirabravo7876 this is leaving out a lot of details, and my memory is a bit foggy, but after Shen Quinqiu pushes Binghe off the cliff, and into the abyss (which leads to the demon realm) he prepares for Binghe’s return. Shen Quinqui thinks that he’s gonna come back and kill him. So, he spends his time searching for a type of mushroom that can grow into the shape of a life sized human, and spends time figuring out how to grow it himself, and he uses magic water for it too. Then Binghe eventually comes back, and he is wielding a demonic sword Xin Mo. He eventually finds Shen Quinqui, and while using the sword, he loses control, and his demon side takes over. Shen Quinqui helps him return to normal by detonating his spiritual powers onto Binghe, and it looks like he died to everyone, and normally when people do that it means that they’re dead, but because of shen Quinqui’s plan, he was able to put his spirit into the mushroom body. But eventually his soul is put back into his old body. My memory is fuzzy, BUT IN THE END!The world is about to be destroyed, and the only way to save it is for Binghe to thrust his massive heavenly pillar inside of Shen Quinqiu repeatedly lol. So they do it, the world is saved, and they get to live a happy married life traveling the world. I know my explanation isn’t so good, but it’s a great excuse to read the whole story over again

I was already an Epic fan but when I first watched this animatic, I didn't know anything about SVSSS. I was intrigued and inspired to look into it. I just finished reading all 4 books and came back to watch this with much needed context. Oh man. I already thought this was great before I read the novel, but now that I know exactly what's going on, it's even more amazing how well this song fits with what happened in SVSSS. The part where Meng Mo changes into Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe falling off the cliff stabbed my heart. And then you killed me with Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu hugging with the System reminding Shen Qingqiu about the very unavoidable Endless Abyss event. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time 😭

If it isn't musicals and danmei, my two beloved ❤ that said, this is an absolute masterpiece I don't even know where to begin; Your designs are on point and the scenes you chose fit the lyrics to a T. It shows that, even if like Ody he gets his happy ending by returning to his beloved and reclaiming his home, the journey there kind of killed the man he used to be. Honestly this got me thinking a lot about parallels between Odyssey and SVSSS (The System even fullfils the role of the gods by constantly forcing him into impossible choices that will bloody hid hands regardless, SQQ being both Penelope and Athena, ny gosh this will live rent free in my head for weeks)😂😂

Aah!! I've seen your Epic animatics before, but I had no idea you were into SVSSS as well--I'm so glad someone else is seeing how well they work together though, I feel like there's a lot of potential (like The Horse and the Infant, Luck Runs Out, etc??). Admittedly, when I did my No Longer You SVSSS animatic, Meng Mo never really crossed my mind, and Luo Binghe didn't until the whole song came out, but OH MY GOSH, THIS COMBINATION WORKS SO WELL!! also I love the effort you put into it---the color and little animations and expressions are just SO GOOD! Dude I remember watching this animation right a week after I joined this fandom (I joined like two weeks ago) and I didn’t see how long it had been posted so I thought it was two years or 3 like the others, but since it Ain’t, I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT EVERY SINGLE SECOND ON THIS VIDEO the start where grandpa (yes I’m calling Meng mo grandpa) appears as a fog already starts in a great way bc that is a dream And at 0:19 where everything that has happened to Luo binghe till now appearing in grandpas eyes is amazing and a very good idea 0:28 him showing the bamboo house and Shen implying that that place is not just a house but his home is chefs kiss 0:33 “but that’s not a world I know” it would be GREATTT for a og luo binghe, making it feel like he can’t do it because Shen yuan does not exist there (that was the first thing I thought when I heard and saw that scene) 0:38 GOSH showing what happened with shen and luo is a great representation of the lyrics of the song, and showing THE FUTUREE (when shen stabs luo) makes it feel like a prophecy set in stone by god himself 0:51 the screen moving and making him fall to the endless abyss is just so eye candy and smart to do 1:06 AGHHH THE BLINKING AND SHOWING LUO OLDER IS JUST AGHHHH, no words (PLUS THE FACT THAT LOTUS BINGHE WIDENING HIS EYES IS JUST SO AMAZING) 1:11 him hating his future self for being like that it’s just so yummy I genuinely have no words AHH 1:14 showing his past and lotus binghe getting up is just a so well made shot of the animation 1:28 SHOWING EVERYONE WHO KNEW HIM AND THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD BECAUSE SHEN SAID SO IS SOOOO GREATTTT!!! And the fact that airplane is the only one back g a shadow aroun his face, suing that *he knows* what happened (he’s my favorite character I cannot just brush my bro airplane off) 1:31 THE MAN THE LEGEND (WHO SAID TO EVERYONE LB WAS GONEEEE) 1:35 THAT AMAZING AND GORGEOUS SCENE AHHH “I see your wife with a man who is haunting..” showing FUTURE LB IS A GREAT DETAIL, ACTING AS IF LB IS NOT WHO HE WAS BEFORE 1:42 the fading to a more red undertone and the blood being shown acts for a fact that he had already killed people on that time 1:46 “WHO??” Is so amazing because we can see the anger in lotus binghe’s eyes, not knowing that the man feint spoken about was him 1:48 BAMMMM, GO RED (I LOVE THIS PART AGHHH) 1:51 binghe’s eyes moving showing that he is clearly SCARED is a great detail (love it muehehehe) 1:54 ALL OF THOSE SCREENS APPEARING AND SHOWING MEMORIES LB HAS WITH SHEN ADDS SO MUCH DETAIL BECAUSE THERE ARE *SO MANY* (and I headcanon these screens actually being the system we all know and love) 2:00 HIM CHANGING TO SHEN IS SO CRAZY, and making him have entirely black eyes show that this is not actually Shen because he would never have such a dead look on his face 2:04 “I see you on the brink of death” THE SCENE WHERE SHEN THREW LB IN THE ABYSS. THATS WHY HE TURNED INTO SHEN, TO REPRESENT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN, AND LB’S FACE BEING SO FULL OF FEAR LOOKING DOWN AT THE ENDLESS ABYSS… 2:07 THE WAY HE GRABBED HIM SO FORCEFULLY. And this second right there is one of my favorite shots in this entire animation, the way shen’s eyes contrast to luo binghe’s, while lb’s face is literally traumatized shen’s face is just so cold and uncaring, like he didn’t even care that this was happening, that he didn’t care about binghe.. -(it almost resembles Shen jiu)- 2:10 THOSE DRAWINGS ARE SIMPLY SO AMAZING, LIKE HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU ARE GREAT IN PORTRAYING EXPRESSIONS IN YOUR DRAWINGS? BECAUSE IF NOT NOW YOU DO 2:17 shen’s face cut by the screen just fits so well in that shot… like he’s not real. 2:20 THE WAY HE LETS GO OF LB’S CLOTHES IS JUST SO AMAZING LIKE HOW DO YOU DRAW GANDS SO WELLLLLLLL 2:22 the music going * boom * and the fire around the screen and none of the faces being drawn while specifically focusing on the characters movements just adds so much to this scene 2:28 THE TEARSSSS 2:33 him looking up at his shizun while his face is not being shown (fun fact I love shots where the characters faces are like that help) adds more flavor than it should 2:40 and it fades to black as his tears fall down, actually would it be considered up as lb is going down? Nahh 2:50 he wakes up SO scared I can see it in his EYES and that’s an amazing trait you got there 2:55 HIM CRYING FOR HIS SHIZUN HELPPP 😭😭 2:58 yes go comfort the white lotus Shen 3:05 Shen looking at the side and seeing the endless abyss quest…. It’s just so heartbreaking AND THE SYSTEM TAKING MORE TIME TO DISAPPEAR INSTEAD OF HOW SHEN AND LB DISAPPEARED KIND OF SHOWS HOW THEY ARENT MUCH IN CONTROL OF THE SITUATION, THE SYSTEM IS And done. That took me at least 10 minutes to write and my comment is already lagging, I just wanted to say that overall this is one of my favorite animations I’ve ever seen in my life and this deserves all of the love that it has (and more)

Also I never really realized how this song fits so well even by looking at the forward events after the abyss in the story "song of past romance" would be the moment when Qiu Haitang appears, "sacrifice of man" would be Sqq self destructing, "portrayal of betrayal" would be when Binghe is revealed to be the one controlling xin mo during the merging, "a brother's final stance" would be zuzhi lang being... ya know... impaled, "on the brink of death" would be the mausoleum scene where binghe is unconscious, or together with "draw your final breath" when both sqq and him almost die in the cave when xin mo had possessed Binghe. Sorry for the big ass message, but i am such a nerd for svsss
