I love that after odysseus asks "WHO!?" tiresias just repeats his lyrics. Much to Odysseus confusion. But he did answer Odysseus' question of who is with his wife. Himself. He just doesn't know that yet. It's like that one word finally sealed his fate, and now no other path is possible. And what the prophet said before is now his only path forward, and ending.

The scene revolves around not only Odysseus's betrayal of his own men, sacrificing six to get the rest home, but also the betrayal of his men after his own and the mutiny that followed. The brother's final stand was Eurylochus attempting to take control, seeing that Ody would do anything he could to get home to his wife and son. Prophecies are rarely ever linear and distinguishable, since there's so much betrayal and selfishness in human nature that really, it's impossible to even grasp what an oracle says in the moment; he lost the advantage of Athena's wisdom as a Warrior of the Mind. They're starving, he's desperate, and that does a lot to cloud the mind.

Thus far, this animatic has the best Setting and Vision of the song and its happenings. Every time he drops to the final chorus I just feel tingling running down my spine, it's brilliantly displayed

this is the most intense animatic for this song ive seen, i love the detail at the end of the ghosts dragging him off the cliff to kind of symbol his change in the next song

It's honestly so amazing that Jorge tied each and every prediction in this song into a plot point. The fore thought that must've gone into this is like 4d chess on crack. I adore the foreshadowing in this one song.

in absolute disbelief at how fast this was done and also how well portrayed this was

I cannot express how much I ADORE this animatic but may the Gods strike me down if I don’t try! The little line that spreads along the cliff when talking about the past and future The images of the past and future surrounding Odysseus one by one in the first chorus and then more aggressively in the second The hands of (assumedly the soldiers) grabbing at him The flashes of Polyphemus and Poseidon The trail of blood and bodies behind Odysseus that he doesn’t see The hands (once again, assumedly from the soldiers) dragging him down and off the cliff and into the ‘ocean’ where a majority of his men died The fact that the water? is red at first making it look like Odysseus is drowning in blood Hell, the colours throughout the entire animatic are astounding! The blues, reds, and the translucent glow of the ghosts, especially Tiresias is just chefs kiss 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Tiresias fr thought he was gonna die again after that "WHO?!" I agenuinely loved how scared/shocked he was when Ody grabbed him and shouted

I love that after ody asks “who” the repeating of the prophecy makes him step back in horror realizing what He would become

Omg that change in the second verse where Tiresias is refering to Scylla and Mutiny aaaaaaa the first verse's betrayal was the open of the bag of wind then the second verse's is the golden cows!!! I love how you separate the two verses!!!!

DUDE!!! The whole ending sequence was flipping phenomenal!!! The last “But it’s NO LONGER… youuuuuuuuu” I got so many chills, with the revealing of the eye, and shot to red background, that was amazing. I’ve listened to this song so many times, but this was the first time I actually didn’t know how it would end. This was absolutely amazing, incredible work 👏👏👏

I feel so certain that at some point in the future, there will be line where “draw your final breath” will become “triumph over death”

i cannot get over how fucking heartwarming it is to see Eurylochus or however you spell it at the end with Odysseus. Despite the situation it is so cute to see such kinship.

It's my favorite music from the Underworld album ! Tiresias' voice is so powerful that it gives me chills. I love how the flashbacks are drawn. The scene getting red as Tiresias said "I see your palace covered in red" is so ingenious and greatly thought. The hands holding back Odysseus are also well thought, as to represent his regrets and sacrifices.

this is SOO BEAUTIFUL i love how you use colors throughout, how you draw the memories and the future touching odysseus, strangling him. And the very end, where the prophet's bandages fall away and that unseeing/all-seeing eye just pierces through him aaaa this is amazing!!

The way you animate predatory men in these animations are incredible. Absolutely incredible. 10000/10.

The end where the color scheme changes is so genius. And Odysseus being pushed off the edge, and this being the song that sparks his mental downfall, the bandages on the prophet unraveling, it’s just so good.

This is literally one of my favorite songs from Epic because of how it's sung and the way you brought the characters to life in this animatic makes it all the better.
