Everyone says the GS is expensive. Not nearly as expensive as a Harley and about the same price as a similarly decked out big Triumph or KTM. So who knows why there's hate. It's a great machine, as are lots of other bikes. When I am out riding, I always throw a wave or two down and get it back. It's the fact you are riding. People who throw around judgements aren't real riders.

Yeah mate! I couldn’t care less for the nod of people in general. The one thing I want is to have pleasure when I’m riding my bike and yes I love my GS and that should be enough for everyone 👌🏻 Nice point about the people reacting to bikes image. I use to have a T120 and there wasn’t a lot of compliments for the bike too. It doesn’t matter to me. The only thing that matters to me is my joy when I’m riding 👍🏻👍🏻

@@thefika yeah, if we live life giving too much attention to what the others are thinking, we are in real trouble. People are unsatisfied by Mother Nature, and we’re incapable to agree with everybody, so better to put our own priorities in order first and afterwards the others reasons if compatible, is nice, but if they aren’t agreeable to you, that should not count too much on decisions like this. A Bike is a personal asset it must fit our needs , and nobody else’s 👍🏻👍🏻

I have a R1250 GS and a Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. If I feel sociable and want people to come and talk to me I take the Triumph. If I've had a hard week and just want to be left alone I take the GS.

Great Adventure Touring Machine the BMW and proven but fekkin boring looks they look all the same no matter what the updates , having said that they do have a road presence that very few other motorcycles have.

i love all bikes, i nod at everyone, i give the old stlyle twist of the head nod and most nod back, only the hardcore Harley riders don't always but some do

The 1250 GS was the best bike in the world. Maybe that’s why. However Bro: if it’s the best selling usually means it’s not special and a commodity. Like the Big Mac or Taylor Swift

Interesting video, for over ten years now I have owned and ridden a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 and a BMW F650 GS GD Dakar. I love both bikes because they are like chalk and cheese, totally different riding styles and the Bullet having the right foot change. Like you I couldn't careless what others ride, i wave anyway to all on motorcycles and mopeds. I had noticed that I too get more waves/nods when I am on the Bullet even from Harley riders whereas when on the GS Harley riders especially won't wave back. Here in GB there are also some GS riders who think that they are better than everyone else I cannot be bothered with snobbery in any walk of life. Enjoy your GS and stuff everyone else.

It doesn't have to be hate. Expensive, yes, heavier, yes, bells and whistles, yes, but it is not the ONE. The one bike best for your next adventure, is the one in your garage 😊😉👍

I find that most bikers nod to me when out on the GS, those that don’t probably don’t nod to anyone. At the end of the day the GS is a great bike and I love it!
