Who's listening in 2020? The time is short, let's be wise and make the best use of our time on earth. Soon... we will be heaven. Let's not waste our lives, but let's be living sacrifices unto God. Let's flee from sin and cling to Christ, everyday! Let's pray and let's preach! Only one life, will soon be gone, only what's done for Christ will last.

I am weeping in repentance after listening to Ravenhill's message. how self- satisfied I have grown! How weak my prayers...since confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior at a D. Wilkerson crusade in '77 I've not pursued a surrendered life through prayer and dependence on the Lord. Now, with cancer, I can do nothing else but cry out for mercy, to hear Him speak through His Word and pray to serve His will with the strength He supplies for the number of days I have left.I confess this sin here and ask the Lord's gracious forgiveness and Holy Spirit's cleansing fire. In Jesus'name.

Prayer is the most powerful, effective, useful, and underrated weapon in the world, it is our connection to God. Many underrate this tool God gave us, I bet most, not all but most prayers of Christians nowadays are from 5 to 15 minutes long, which in some occasions may be enough. But our life should always consider prayer, we should always pray a minimum of 1 hours. A morning prayer, a mid-day prayer, a before bed prayer, a mid-night prayer. PRAY ALWAYS, EVEN IF YOU ARE GOING ON TOWARDS YOUR DAY, PRAY, SEEK THE FACE OF GOD AND HE WILL REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU. God bless you!

Leonard Ravenhill Sermon - No Man is Greater Than His Prayer Life Leonard Ravenhill Playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PL98DA7555F2E1729D Link to my "Christian Devotional Readings" Facebook page: facebook.com/pages/Christian-Devotional-Readings/196846270398160?ref=hl Leonard Ravenhill (1907--1994) was an English Christian evangelist and author who focused on the subjects of prayer and revival. He is best known for challenging the modern church (through his books and sermons) to compare itself to the early Christian Church as chronicled in the Book of Acts. His most notable book is Why Revival Tarries which has sold over a million copies worldwide. Born in Leeds, in Yorkshire, England, Ravenhill was educated at Cliff College in England and sat under the ministry of Samuel Chadwick. He was a student of church history, with a particular interest in Christian revival. His evangelistic meetings during the Second World War drew large crowds. Many converts devoted themselves to Christian ministry and foreign missions. In 1939, he married an Irish nurse, Martha. The Ravenhills had three sons: Paul, David, and Philip. Paul and David are Christian ministers, and Philip is a teacher. In 1950, Ravenhill and his family moved from Great Britain to the United States. In the 1960s they traveled within the United States, holding tent revivals and evangelistic meetings. In the 1980s, Ravenhill moved to a home near Lindale, Texas, a short distance from Last Days Ministries Ranch. He regularly taught classes at LDM and was a mentor to the late Keith Green. He also spent some time teaching at Bethany College of Missions in Minnesota, and some time in Seguin, Texas. Among others influenced by Ravenhill were Ray Comfort, Ravi Zacharias, Tommy Tenney, Steve Hill, Charles Stanley, Bill Gothard, Paul Washer, and David Wilkerson. He was a close friend of pastor and writer A. W. Tozer. Through his teaching and books, Ravenhill addressed the disparities he perceived between the New Testament Church and the Church in his time and called for adherence to the principles of biblical revival. Tozer said of Ravenhill: "To such men as this, the church owes a debt too heavy to pay. The curious thing is that she seldom tries to pay him while he lives. Rather, the next generation builds his sepulchre and writes his biography -- as if instinctively and awkwardly to discharge an obligation the previous generation to a large extent ignored." Gravesite at Garden Valley Cemetery Ravenhill died in November 1994 and is interred at Garden Valley Cemetery in Garden Valley, Texas, near the grave of Contemporary Christian music artist Keith Green. In 2011 Free Grace Press published a full biography of Leonard Ravenhill written by Mack Tomlinson titled, "In Light of Eternity.

And I was somewhat excited to go but I knew how it was going to be. I go to also be encouraged and admonished by the prayers of others. Because I myself am weak in prayer. But I noticed that God is teaching me, growing me in maturity. While others pray like the prophets of bal. Stomping, clapping, screaming, a lot of vain repetition. I and this congregation need a lot of help. Is like the candle is about to be off or it might be already off. God help us!

Whatever is not of faith is sin (Rom14:23b). God's guidance, perceived by faith is equivalent to God "telling" a person what to do. The inward witness is God's primary means of guidance, for even when we read the Word, it's that "still small voice" (the inward witness) that illumines the Word and gives us spiritual wisdom, insight, revelation and understanding. This needs to be accurately related, primarily for the benefit of new Believers.

There are no prophets today. If the purpose of a prophet was to reveal truth from God, why would we need prophets if we have the completed revelation from God in the Bible? If prophets were the “foundation” of the early church, are we still building the “foundation” today? Can God give someone a message to deliver to someone else? Absolutely! Does God reveal truth to someone in a supernatural way and enable that person to deliver that message to others? Absolutely! But is this the biblical gift of prophecy? No.
@GrowingWarrior2 жыл бұрын
@@ChristisLord Prophecy 100% still exists today. Leonard Ravenhill prophesies in this sermon. Also, as Leonard Ravenhill said in another sermon I think, prophets are God's men in an hour of crisis (if he said it in this one, forgive me, I'm just grabbing a clip of it for something). We're in a crisis hour right now & God has many people He's spoken through. I find it odd that Leonard talks about prophecy quite a bit in his messages and is one, you've uploaded many of them, but you don't believe there are prophets today? Why not? God can do whatever He wants, can't He? And what you described is exactly what the gift of prophecy is. I hope you receive this in Jesus name.
