I compare the performance of various presets on the Steam Deck OLED for No Man’s Sky.
On Standard you get about 60-90 FPS, on Enhanced 45-60 FPS, on High 30-40 FPS and on Ultra 20-25 FPS.
But for me, these are the optimal settings:
Enhanced Preset, locked 45 FPS and FSR 2.0 Quality
I just prefer the stability of 45 FPS locked.
What do you think? What settings do you use to run No Man’s Sky on the Steam Deck?

How's the battery life in enhanced present and standard preset?

Have you entered any space stations?... Horrible framerate after the orbital update in stations

This is good info but you don’t need the fake steam deck overlay in the video especially when it’s the old standard one and not the OLED which is what you’re playing on.
