The characters like mercy zen and lucio are showing their biggest potential through utility, not flat healing that already is unreasonably high. GA with no delay after slingshot, 30% damage boost, healing nerf and now we have other support that can help us cleave through huge healing aside of zen. (Yeah, zen discord must be buffed since it's his main supporting tool)

They won’t buff her because the devs have said “Mercy continues to be one of the top picked supports, and her WR isn’t bad so we don’t plan on adjusting her” ( not verbatim im too lazy to look up the exact phrase but that’s pretty much what they said ) They just don’t realize that mercy is picked a lot because there’s a lot of people that just love the character, not because she’s good :( and her WR isn’t bad because most people that choose her are one tricks

I'm really interested about dev's comments on Mercy state, when they said that she is one the most popular hero even right now xd What I can tell that people really avoid playing Mercy rn and I'm being asked to switch pretty often in ranked xd Anyways, Mercy in new arcade mode feels pretty fun, but the longer cooldown after using slingshot or superjump is still killing me, i think that is the main reason why Mercy is so clunky right now xd I have a little hope for Mercy changes in midseason patch, but we have to wait for it :c

I kinda understand what they were going for with the arcade mercy kit(?) Like, rez becomes a more clutch play thing like bringing back someone with ult in the middle of a team fight... But then what good does the cooldown reduction to 18s do? If they are coming back for only 10 seconds and I bring them back, I'm only going to stagger them. If at the end of the day you have to be EXTRA picky with your rez in order to not stagger your team, then it might as well not have that cd reduction at all lol. And I keep thinking the answer to mercy is tweaking her dmg boost. Ppl can cry all they want but if I'm dmg boosting someone and you decide to engage and lose the fight THAT'S REASONABLE, it's a 2v1 you shouldn't win! Some ppl want mercy to be a wallflower or something smh

Bring back GA from season 1 and give her triage healing. instead of nerfing the healing like before it should stay 55 and the triage would be 40% more healing for allies under 50% health

Mercy feels terrible to play, BUT if you know what you're doing and your team doesn't do dumb things, she can totally be the difference. I've played two games with her that were basically a mercy dif. Hers had over 8k healing, but because their team kept on putting themselves in weird situations, so she had to sweat, while my team was positioning greatly so I could damage boost a lot and only heal what was necessary. Edit: compared to what she was before that stupid dps passive and IN MY HONEST AND HUMBLE OPINION. :3

The arcade support changes were made by Eskay, who used to make a lot of mercy hate bait tweets that would stir up a bunch of mercy hate and hate on mercy players in the comments. I believe she has for the most part stopped (wouldn't know, still have her blocked) after Niandra and Skiesti called her out for it. So, you would be correct. 😅

those mercy changes in the arcade mode really remind of how clove's revive functions in val, It'd be a cool idea but I think the respawn cooldown should start as soon as they're "resurrected" as to have a smooth transition

What I'd like to see for a Mercy Buff are these: 1) GA at 1.5 sec CD. 2) Yellow Beam Heals and Provides a damage reduction of 5-10% to Mercy and Target. 3) Blue Beam also increases speed of Mercy and Target. Including while she floats. This makes her Valk more impactful and buffs her without making her too strong. Plus it fills a void where we really don't have a "Damage Reduction" support character.

Eskay explain the experimental Rez doesn’t stagger your team. The respawn timer starts when they are rezzed and once the 10 seconds are up they instant respawn.

In the arcade mode, my duo was playing Ana and our Mercy only rezzed her. So she ended the game with 20 deaths because every time she would go out, she would die, get rezzed, die again, go out, die, get rezzed, die again, repeat. She said it was super annoying to play and wished the Mercy would have just never rezzed her at all. I think Eskay tried to do changes that could potentially fit in current OW (The Brig changes, PLEASE put these in the game) but didn't know what to do with Mercy.

what they can do is implement half of what arcade mercy has to non arcade mercy like valk resetting cooldowns and then just make faster rez in valk give us back 1.5 GA and thats it especially if they dont want to buff her healing as for the 10 sec for rez shouldnt be in the game like i can see where eskay was going but then it just puts mercy in a weird spot cause high elo yes itll work but low elo itll just be very and i mean very situational and thus mercy will be in a spot where shes good in high elo and most likely a throw pick in low elo and in a game like this you dont want a character to be in that kind of situation

Apparently, I won't be playing in comp this season either. playing other characters is not a problem, but there is no pleasure in it when you can't take characters that you really like to play

In my opinion it's really sad to see what is happening to Mercy, I don't think she is getting a rework or something like that, but I really wanted some buffs for her, I think right now the only problem with her is her healing and maybe her movement, but if they bring back the season one movement, we will have more opportunities to be alive, and if they bring the critical healing, we will have a way to compensate the DPS passive. But, I don't think they are going to do this, I think this is so sad, because I see a lot of Mercy creators struggling with her current state and there's nothing we can do.

Mercy rez hypothetical: Rather than dying after ten seconds, if the player rez'd is not healed completely by the time those ten seconds are up, they die again. This includes damage taken during those ten seconds.
