I heard from somewhere else the 13/11 light cycle bought out more colors. They were saying because the places some of these plants originated from didn’t have 12/12 cycles, so you can get really different expressions messing with the light cycles! Definitely gonna try it with my booberry cookies maybe next round. Great video bro!!

It really depends from the strain. For sativa you can go with 10/14 for indica you can go with 14/10. Fun fact - you can even flower a plant under 18/6 if the veg was under 20/4

strains are different and react different! I have been flowering on 8hr on and 16off for years now! Let them rest and produce like crazy. I ran 12/12 and then instinctively went to 10/14 after a few run noticing tons of leaf droop. After years of testing, I find 8on/16off for flower for my strains produces!

Well simply cannabis is a short day, long night flowering plant. 12/12 is just a standard set as all plants will trigger flower in 12/12 but does more light mean more yield? Maybe for some strains but Im working with older sativa and 8hours on I finish in 10-12weeks but with 12/12 flowers were finishing in 12-14 weeks and longer at times.

@@Greenfingah So with 8hours on I get buds that plump up faster and finish earlier than when on 12/12. I first went to 10on and 14off and got great results. Over years I have tested down to 6h on for summer and still good results. The buds form as the plants sleep and build crystals like crazy faster, but I have never done a side by side. For winter I have gone back to 8on for more heat!

I start at 12/12 and I got down 15 minutes of light every week u til start week 5 I stay at 11-13 bc that’s what happens in nature each day gets less and less light. I found my terp response was really amazing

"Winter Frost" is an incredible product. No affiliation, at all. Given once, then again 5 days later, then flush the last 2 weeks. A beautiful "fade", even if your soil is loaded with nutrients. Best product I've ever tried. Maximum Trichomes, as well!👍💯✌️

when i flip to flower i used 50/50 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 for transition, then thru the rest its using 2-8-4 with some extra mineralized phosphate, and langbienite, with tps calmag complete that adds a 4-0-0

I have been running 11/13 for 11 years now... I get better tasting and the same quality/quantity weed with lower light bill. I run 100% power of the light with no dawn/dusk. the last day the plant gets the light above it turned off or to 10%.

I haven’t smoked yet today so I’m sober hearing about the Amish. They would be the Best Plug! Everything they make, grow etc. includes God, weather you believe in God or not… they do and it shows!! Good enough for me !! Your exactly right about nutes / hormones/ & dark cycle ! As I’ve eased off light cycles not pushing so hard Because anyone w time under they belt knows it’s not just one thing that makes great yields. I’ve learned it’s not all in the nutes but it’s more important you have adequate vita./minerals, or Nutriment the plant need’s during stages of its development! I’ve learned alotta strains can take 1500ppm feeding And some will choke ! So get to know the strain first before trying to choke her out ! Example: I have a Durban. Mother that doesn’t even want to be touched by me or other plants , check this out if it’s one of her cuttings She’ll actually make room! What ? ❤ plants are amazing! Just got to read them

Less than 12 hours of light during flower will do several things depending on the strain. Reduce how long it takes to initiate flower, reduces over all flower time roughly 1 week, and for breeders 11/13 can express more phenotypical diversity easier. The grow book from dj short has a bunch of practical tips and tricks and decent information for people that already have a good understanding of growing.

I normally grow in coco with synthetic nutes.. im in the middle of flower with my first organic run. Recently hit a K def. They say 30 days between top feeds.. but that doesnt seem right the way I was noticing def. throughout the grow. Maybe 20 days. Or maybe I should've tried a couple teas in veg. Teas saved my K def tho. Should be good till harvest now. My secong organic run will be much better.

Who goes the opposite way? I mean what really makes the flower hormones triggers and at sufficient level is the 12hrs of darkness. With a digital timer a grow schedule can be done by starting 12-12 and slowly increase the daylenght up to 13.5 hrs while keeping 12 hrs of darkness.

banana and iv never started my run with a 11/13 but i do start 12/12 first two weeks next four weeks 11/13 until week 6 than i drop to 10 on 14 off but i did this to help me from foxtailing since i started doing this i hadnt had a problem with foxtailing i have noticed certain sativa dominate strains do finish like a week or two earlier but im not sure if pheno or the light drop

Hay 420 I have a challenge for you. I would like to send you some beans and have you try to grow them. I have tried everything with these things and cannot make them grow right. Different humidity, feedings, waterings, lighting and etc. I would love to see you try and grow them and inform me what I am doing wrong. The challenge is, these were a gift. Some seed companies have genetically modified there seeds so you can't take cuttings and grow them, you have to keep buying seeds! Think in terms of Monsanto and what they do to there gm crops, they've been doing this for decades so you have to keep buying seeds and it seems some producers of cannabis have cottened onto it too.
