No More $20K! Elon Musk Confirms Tesla Optimus Gen 3 Release On Dec & Here is ALL New Tasks! We don’t want to talk too much about Optimus, but every time we see videos and images of Tesla’s humanoid robot, we can truly imagine a scenario 10 years from now, where we have at least one robot doing daily household chores. Now, if we talk about the number of complex tasks it can perform, the truth is, there aren’t many at the moment. But we believe that in just 3 more years, we’ll be truly surprised by the number of utilities the Tesla Bot can provide as upgrades happen daily instead of monthly or annually. We bet that Elon Musk will pursue this project to the end, until the world has billions of Tesla robots, just like electric cars were sold. Gen 3 will arrive in December, but if you’re thinking about the $20,000 price, we don’t think that will happen. Listen to our analysis of Optimus. Welcome to Tesla Car World.
No More $20K! Elon Musk Confirms Tesla Optimus Gen 3 Release On Dec & Here is ALL New Tasks! If Tesla often fails to stay on schedule with its electric vehicles and frequently delays its launch programs, we see that everything related to Optimus is progressing unexpectedly quickly.
No More $20K! Elon Musk Confirms Tesla Optimus Gen 3 Release On Dec & Here is ALL New Tasks! In Tesla’s first-quarter 2024 earnings call, Musk stated he believes Optimus will be performing tasks in Tesla factories by the end of this year and could begin selling the robot to external customers by late 2025. In fact, at least 50 robots are already deployed in Tesla’s factory, with more in production, as Musk projected at the company’s Investor Day in June 2024 that Tesla could have over a thousand or even several thousand robots operating internally by next year. Alongside ramping up production of Optimus version 1 and making improvements to Gen 2, Tesla is also releasing a premium version, Optimus Gen 3, which Musk said will be launched by the end of the year..

Gen 1: Not for sale as it could be a prototype and used internally in the factory Gen 2: Used both in Tesla factory and other companies, anyone can buy this version as the price will be around $20K - $40K (software updates will increase the number of tasks and operations, processing capabilities similar to Tesla EVs), will be available in large quantities by 2026! Gen 3: The most advanced version, can do almost all tasks and has longer operating time, better design, better performance, but the price will be high up to $100K. All versions will eventually decrease in price over time, eventually Gen 2 $20K and Gen 3 $80K This is our speculation as a long-time observer of Tesla Bot progress as well as Tesla's strategy. What do you think?

@@TeslaCarWorld There needs to be a so called "Asimov" protocol implemented. If one robot thinks or acts to harm a human, its circuits should fry . Also if any of those sensors are damaged or not functioning with default config, the bot should inactivate itself and have to be returned to the manufacturer.

Where are you getting your $100k price estimate? Brett Adcock from Figure also estimates around $20k for a humanoid robot. These robots are less expensive to build than cars and several Chinese companies are also building them.

Atlas Boston Dynamics, Xiaomi Cyberone robot, Figure Ai $30K - $100k, yeah But that's just our prediction, you see, Tesla often makes deviations in prices at announcement and official launch, all of which increase without being lower than the original price. However, the price will decrease over time

I don't think "other" companies are just going to wait until 2026 to release to the public. If Musk isn't careful, people will buy the first robots released, and then will most likely NOT buy Optimus as soon as it comes out, as they will already have a robot. This is a very tricky thing to calculate, but most people will be happy with whomever releases first, knowing they will be doing standard updates to the system frequently. Musk, release Optimus as soon as you safely can, or you may fall behind like Apple did with their release strategy.
@TeslaCarWorld
@TeslaCarWorld Күн бұрын
Okay, good idea! What you’re saying makes sense, but I think Musk’s strategy with Optimus isn’t simply about ‘who launches first wins.’ Elon Musk is known for focusing on quality and high usability before bringing a product to market. For a robot to truly meet user needs, it must not only have basic features but also be reliable and safe for users. Additionally, Tesla has an advantage in developing over-the-air software updates, as seen with their vehicles. This could allow Optimus to keep evolving even after launch, potentially offering improvements that earlier-released products may not be able to match.

At the We Robot event, the voice and responses of the robot to attendees were supported by Tesla staff. How does it behave in an unfamiliar dynamic environment? How is it remotely possible for this to do daily chores or cook? Everything still needs to be taught or programmed, and I guarantee the teaching process will not be easy, in fact it will fail more than succeed without intervention. People need to understand that this isn’t a sci-fi movie, things don’t just work flawlessly and when they do fail, it will fail big and be very expensive to fix if damaged.

This will eliminate so many jobs it will destroy the economy. Another solution for work/income needs to be discussed before this comes to pass. The issue at hand will end up involving the people providing these services, eliminating the jobs, creating a dependent class of humans... and then decided to remove them, or provide for them at enormous cost. We are becoming a pet class of humans. People with too many pets get rid of them.

OK, so first I’ll say thank you for your videos. I do find that I’ve watched many of them. However, I would like to give you some constructive criticism. I know that it’s difficult to pick a tone of voice that is pleasant for your video narration. I have to say buddy that why you sound like a nice person. Your voiceover has this condescending tone to it and a little bit over the top tone to it. It sounds like you’re trying too hard to be nice or whatever and it’s really really really hard to listen to. I started this video and I just couldn’t get through it dude. It’s like a fake conversational tone. Just keep it real. I wanna hear your real voice because your voice sounds like a young person who is trying to make their voice sound important or something. It’s just coming across very fabricated and I don’t think that’s your intent. Just try experimenting adjusting the tone because like I’m looking at your video here and it’s 10 hours ago you posted it you’ve got 16,000 views which is not a whole lot compared to a lot of other posters that deal with Tesla and Optimus and things involving Elon Musk. So I would say a lot of people are feeling the same way I do they click on the video? They start hearing your tone of voice and they click away because it’s just hard. Please don’t think that I’m criticizing your content I kinda like your content. So keep trying to find insights that we wouldn’t encounter somewhere else but then a nice adult conversational tone that’s not put on or over the top and you’ll do better. I guarantee that you’ll do better.

In a free market world, companies will compete to have an edge, and use robotics to their advantage. It is unfortunate that many workers will lose their jobs, but that's how things will work. Human workers will have to shift into professions and careers that they can be useful, like robot training, robot teleoperation, robot maintenance, robot design etc. Also I truly believe that certain kinds of care in hospitals senior homes etc, should be done mostly by humans.
