It's far cheaper to just purchase a whole second android phone and get a cheep low cost data plan and use the find my device feature, if were already considering adding wiring into a vehicle it would not be hard to hide a hidden usb port, the phone may die after an extended time but it will turn on when the car starts up next and ping its location.

Far cheaper than what exactly? Just curious. Bouncie is $90 plus $9 a month. I imagine buying a phone and then having a plan is probably a similar cost to that. And as for wired trackers, LoJack or an equivalent will probably cost like $300-500 one time to have installed, which I mentioned in the video is definitely more expensive but a more secure route. But I do agree that doing something like what you mentioned could work too! Interesting idea for sure.
