I've been using XiaoGen from the first day on also, I have made many presets. I can give you my current one, it's balanced with lots of torque and good range with higher speed up to 34km/h. Wanna try? I can add it as a Drive folder if you would like to test it out on your Pro.

My God I'm about to go insane cause of the amount of latch pins I have broken in the past few months!! I bought a different version of this that locks the whole stem with no locking mechanism at all! No more folding but It's better than dealing with a broken pin every ride...

Hey man me again.. Haha I'm following your recommendations.. So my question dude, do you need the extender if you do not have the front shock ? will I be OK just to buy the x-lock on it's own .. will it still fold and clamp to the mud guard ? I have a wall mount at home so I have to fold so I can put on wall.. Maybe if I upgrade the shock later down the line, if the extender is needed i'll get it.. or if it's needed from the offset i'll order that too.. I think this is the way to go because like I said, I did adjust the stem, mm by mm ever so slightly and I cannot simply find that sweet spot my man.. driving me nuts..

I had the suspension before the X-lock but you should not need the extension if you don’t have the suspension. If you end up getting suspension and the extension, it folds fine and still clips on the mudguard. Also best thing about suspension is it takes pressure off the stem. This combined with the X-lock is the way to go. Suspension is the best purchase I made for my Xiaomi.

I never had the rear suspension but I don’t think you need the extended. It may just about reach. Extender is great for more height and also useful if you have the X-lock so you can fold the scooter.

I have both the front and rear Monorim suspension installed and my stem no matter what creaks.. so I have ordered the xlock today but I'm not sure if I'll need the extender... The xlock looks easy enough to install and it does look like it's going to reenforce that stem quite a bit so it won't squeak or creak as it'll be solid.. Just hope I can fold the bloody thing without the extender...

Hi this is a great video. How do you get the main wheel not to spin loosely to the left and right due to the extender? It seems looser now since there's no screw to block the spinning of the stem. Sorry if this is a bit confusing.

Hi Kenneth! Glad the video helped. The extender should not make a difference. If the stem is too loose, the middle screw need to be tightened. Make sure you used the long bolt you got with the extender ⚡️

Hello mate great video,I've had to order the xlock because I had a naughty accident last week ,my stem pole had broken off at the base after fitting the front suspension from monorim. ( I'm ok lucky enough) .does this actually take much stress off of the stem ?

Hi If you don’t have the extension, you cannot fold the scooter. What I did was fitted the extension, then the X-lock last. If you don’t fold the scooter, there is no need for the extension.

Hi Jean. If you use the X-lock on its own, it can’t be folded. But as you can see in the video, I also installed the extender which allows the X-lock bracket to pop down allowing you to fold it 🛴

Usually I do it when I go inside the supernarket or some store just to be more safe. I am waiting also to get some wheels to make a trolley wheels in my scooter, connecting with the monorim suspension . After your feedback I don't know if this idea gonna be right

It ain’t that heavy. If you have the creaking, adjust first (I done a video on that) then get the X-lock if you want. It will avoid all those issues like creaking, wobbling from happening. A great investment!

I have done the adjustment and its gone again, but for how long I wonder? I am thinking of installing this XLOCK when the scooter is near new. I don't have the suspension. Hi! I’ve not had issues since. Of course it’s always good to check everything regularly. Main thing is to not pull or push on the stem while riding. X-lock is very good for added support ⚡️

You can also apply a small bit of silicone spray between the stem (where both meet) not too much. Literally a tiny bit ⚡️

As I explain. The Xiaomi scooters suffer from stem creaking and if you don’t maintain correctly, can cause wobble. X-lock basically hugs the latch and firms up everything. Never once had an issue. Cheap and easy to install. Regards to folding, if you get the X-lock, you’ll need to install the extension that I installed in this video. Otherwise, the X-lock can’t slide up and down for folding.

I had the same issue with my m365 it kept on creaking, there is a simpler fix, find the part that is creaking and oil it, which is what I did it no longer creaks, and when it starts creaking again due to the oil being depleted I will oil it again. I believe it's the a reverberation through the aluminium, the joints are painted or more likely powder coated.

I have used silicone which is brilliant. But adjustment is need as this area needs to be tight for safety reasons. If you have play, it can snap very easily ⚡️

@@Movelectrics I believe when they designed this scooter all the parts are strong enough to withstand quite a lot of pressure they are well made scooters. When you start adding bits you introduce a whole new set of parameters to deal with untested parameters. A drop of oil in the right location is much safer than fitting an after market part that probably hasn't gone through any stress testing. It takes a little bit of investigating and trial and error to find the exact location of the creak, I oiled a few places before actually finding the exact spot where the creak was coming from, it was difficult to find the creak due to the reverberating sound, but the creak is annoying more than dangerous. Once you hit the right spot it won't creak again for a long time, and if it does you at least know where to oil again, it's also worth taking a look to make sure nothing has come loose. A simple drop of 3 in 1 oil will do the trick but if you want to get fancy use silicon oil, less messy.

@@flitsies they may stress test these but scooters need maintenance especially on the stem. I saw many Xiaomi scooters snapping in this area, folding and causing a collision. 100% oil ain’t gonna just fix this, adjusting correctly plus adding the X-lock can reinforce the area also ⚡️

@@Movelectrics Of course maintaining your scooter like any vehicle is important, but not sure I would agree an after market product is the right course of action. A drop of oil and paying attention to the maintenance of your vehicle would probably do the trick. A suspect many of those that snapped were probably abused scooters, rather than scooters used in the correct manner, I could be wrong as some people do a lot of mileage on their scooters.

AOVO scooters have a better built stem for example and the are much cheaper. I am hoping the next range will address this long going issue. Thanks for sharing your thoughts though 🛴

Hi Rob. All modifications like suspension, X-lock, accessories, maintenance etc. apply for all Xiaomi models. When it comes to custom firmware, battery upgrades, more speed for example, the original Xiaomi, Xiaomi Pro, Pro 2, Essential are different in minor ways because of the batteries and motors 🛴 My suggestion is to join a Xiaomi FB group to get more assistance and be more specific about what you would like to modify on your Essential model ⚡️

Simply loosen the X-lock, raise the cuff, the. Fold as normal (if you do not have the extension like what I install in the video, you cannot fold the scooter with just the X-lock.

It basically strengthens that whole are. It helps prevent the common creaking and gives more peace of mind while riding. If you want extra support, this is the upgrade to do. If you have the creaking, adjust that first (video I done on that) Then install the X-lock 🛴
