The last two episodes of Season 3 are among the best back to back episodes in TV history imo. Fair warning. There is a stretch of episodes in Season 4 where it feels like nothing is happening but don't worry it's all building up to something great. Thanks again for cranking out these episodes so quick nothing worse than one Breaking Bad episode a week reactors lol.

Yeah, I always questioned why they needed to have a 5 episode arc dedicated to explaining the backstory of the fly Jesse swatted, but when they reveal how it relates to Gus' past, it makes it all worth it.

@@thedisciple516 the reason this comment is common is because the first three season are more or less build up with moments of tension and release between. But season 4 on is just pure tension. Season 4 and 5 wouldn’t be as amazing without the first three, but breaking bad wouldn’t be considered the masterpiece it is without the last two.

I think Walt initially was very scared he was going to be killed, but after he called Jesse you can see his smug ego return immediately. And trust me, this is not the best finale episode going forward!!!

If you know the story behind the episode, it shouldn't come down to that. Locations, actors, writers and crew had to be at a minimum for budget reasons because the budget had been exceeded for the season. Considering that fact, this still plays into the overall narrative in ways that take root later on, and should be appreciated for that fact, alone. If these truths were unbeknownst to you, that is a completely fair assessment. If not, I am guessing you could benefit from a class or two on audio and video production? Opinions are a dime a dozen, but, if you consider the context, I don't feel like such criticisms really bear much weight. S'all's I'm sayin!

I really like that you rate each episodes after the season finale! I would call S3 E12 & 13 and S4 E1, parts #1 #2 & #3 of a "finale" episode. I would give all 3 a resounding 10+ together or each one a very solid 10 by themselves! Can't wait for "Box Cutter"! It would be awesome if you release on youtube in next day or two. P.S. As for the "Fly" episode, don't be afraid to be honest. Remember, it is how "the both of you" see the episode, not me or anyone else. I would have given it a 6 my first watch. Today (after seeing more than a dozen times) I would give it a 7 or 7.5. This show just gets better and better! 💯👍

Great reaction as always guys! The last two episodes of season there are some of the most shocking and intense. Yes, the cliffhanger made it hard to wait a long time for the show to come back. Without spoilers, Season four has more intricate writing but also more shocking episodes. Just FYI, episode 10 "Fly" is controversial and is also the lowest rated episode of the series so you're not alone there. It was a "bottle" episode where they had to save on the budget. Having said that, it is a still a cult episode in terms of users. For me it was an 8 on that one. The director Ryan Johnson is also responsible for the highest rated episode of the series and possible in TV history (season 5 "Ozymandias").

I mean... it is unfortunate that Gale had to go, but I can't say I feel all that bad for him. It may sound harsh, but that's the game. Can't really go into cooking meth thinking it's gonna be safe and sound. I do, however, feel bad for Jesse on this one. All throughout this series, he never killed anyone, not even Spooge since his wife got him. And Jesse's first kill just had to be the human equivalent of a harmless puppy. Or as your favorite character Badger would put it, "shooting a baby in the face". Tragic.

I remember watching "fly" when it first came out...me and my dad both agreed we were disappointed, it just wasn't what we expected from a BB episode. So yeah I skipped ya'lls reaction to it as well, just wanted to let you know that not all your viewers think highly of that episode.

Some of the episodes of season three definitely deal a lot with the characters Skylar and Walt and how their marriage was affected by Walt decisions. I get why you guys gave those a lower rating but I think if you ever rewatch this series on your own time (and you should), you will have better appreciation for them. Having said that, Season three introduced us to the twins, Mike and the super lab. Also, Hank's attempt at his life was a pretty epic episode.

Ha! Watching the first scene. That's closer to the way Bryan Cranston really looks! Or at least looked at the time of the series! That's the way he looked in the late 90s when he used to be on Seinfeld, playing recurring character Tim Whatley. (friggin' HILARIOUS). He was on a popular show called "Malcom In The Middle" as well, and he looked closer to that.

In regards to your Bryan Cranston conversation.... He's definitely putting on a great act for Walt. If you didn't already know, Cranston had built himself up as more a comedic silly actor with his role as Hal in Malcom in the Middle. Thats a big reason why Cranston got so much shock value attention, because he was the hapless funny dumb dad from Malcom. I would say Cranstons mannerisms is more like Hal, in that he has a great sense of humor. Its well known that Cranston and Paul devloped a great friendship and were known for pranking each other. Everything Ive heard about the man says he is kind, generous, and down to earth...everything Walt isnt. The fact that I watched both roles and still cant believe Hal and Walter is played by the same man speaks volumes to Cranston as an actor.

No worries. I HATED the fly episode when I first saw it but after several rewatches and a film studies course, I now truly appreciate the episode for it's character development. And now after season 3 season finale under your belt, you will completely understand why this show is so binge-able; not just because you want to binge it but because you feel like you have to!

So, I didn't watch this season in real time but I learned from other reaction videos that at the time, there were people who thought Jesse didn't actually shoot Gale because of the way the camera moves. It never crossed my mind that he didn't, it was pretty clear he had to or Walt was gonna die. Even Vince was basically like "yeah, that was never the intention for folks to think that", LOL. As far as your ratings, I definitely agree with the ones you rated 10s. Y'all actually rated "Fly" higher than I was expecting, LOL. Ready for season 4!

I was one of them. I gave it a good 25% chance, I mean its BB, they're so good at getting you to think one thing is happening when its actually something else, so you had to honor the possibility because of that camera trick.

Idk if i said on last video u did this episode ratings but i like the idea. Agreed with ratings. I liked fly mostly cuz it was emotional, but more then that funny. Walt losing grip and falling down, or Walt and Jesse hitting each other with fly swatter, or Jesses panicking about "contamination" while it was just fly :D . Episode i disliked the most is I.F.T. Pettines was overwhelming. But this two part finale was amazing!

Well about Skyler's and Walt's marriage issues and that it was unnecessary? What? Everything in this show matters. You're gonna see. Now, besides that... wouldn't the story be hollow and empty if it wasn't just about... idk how to say it... Walt's getting deeper into the drug business? You need all the stuff around to make it believable and rich. So Skyler, marriage issues, why they have those issues. Highlighting how Walt's a hero to his son (while Walt Jr always has issues with Skyler too). Hank And Marie. Everything. All the stuff that's happening in the show is important and is relevant moving forward - especially to understand things. And it's hard to say anything more without spoiling. All in all it's called good writing. If you do the opposite and focus on 1 or 2 plotlines while ignoring the rest - that's bad writing that exhausts the story quickly and makes it one dimensional and hollow. And that's not braking bad.

Allen and Alex did say several times that they get why those episodes were pertinent--they just personally dont like personal marriage drama episodes on any show. I personally loved those episodes but certainly dont fault them for not. And you shouldn't either. I am a hard core BB fan and think everything is perfection but I dont lash out on those that dont think every aspect of it is.

"Fly" is a pretty controversial episode. Because it was so divisive among the audience, it earned the lowest rating of the whole series. The funny thing is that Rian Johnson went on to also direct the top-rated episode of the series, which is the only episode to have a perfect 10 on IMDb (and not just for Breaking Bad: for _any_ TV series period).

Well, Rian didn't write the episode, he only directed it (which in TV is not the same as directing a movie.) The reason people don't like "Fly" has nothing to do with the camera angles, it has to do with the writing.
