The thing about her Powder is that she's always lived in Vi's shadow and just wants to be useful to people and don't forget that she's still a child. As for the loyalty part, she was loyal to Vi and specifically to Vi, so from her perspective when she sees that Vi left, she didn't have loyalty to Vi. She was just looking for comfort anywhere she could find it. You can also mention that they had an escape plan but it was looking bad. They had multiple of Silco's men around and they were all ruthless enough to hurt Vander and whoever helped. Powder also had no idea of what was going on inside. One of the biggest parts to help you in combat is communication, so yes. The plan failing is her fault, but there was a lot of things that could've been done from both sides to prevent all of this. You can see at the end with her talk with Vi that she's starting to realize what she done then and only then. We as viewers see everything, but you also have to think of each character from the perspective that they see things.

Lastly in-case you didn't know. Arcane season 1 took 6 years to make and estimated budget of 100-120 million per episode. That's almost 10-12 million dollars per episode. It's not a verified source, but a majority of the budget, 70-90% went to the animation studio that Riot partners with and left over is for marketing, voice actors, sound effects, music, etc. And quick background on this specific location in Runeterra, All of the city used to be called Zaun. and they are located at Isthmus that connects two continents. They wanted to open up a passage way for sea travel routes, so the city used toxic bombs to open up a passage way. Well the bombs were too good and basically caused one whole half of the city to sink. Then the top half of the city was re-named Piltover - aka "City of Progress" where the rich families of trade controlled most of the money and benefit of the economy. They also got better access to education, thus most citizens benefited from the fortunes of better technology and health. The lower half lower half kept the name of Zaun - City of Iron and Glass. It's where the poor were mostly left to fend off on their own since the top side didn't do much to help them. It is run by the chembarons who run unchecked trade and criminal activities. Zaun also has to deal with the toxins left over from the toxic bombs so a lot of people are less healthy with less access to technology and medical support. Combined though both cities have a symbiotic relationship and run parallel together

Hey sojuandwater, hope you both are doing well! Just wanted to say I found your channel recently through Arcane and have been throuughly enjoying your reactions. I'm going to post a few comments so I apologize for the spammy messages lol. I did want to say, I am surprised you don't have more subs and interactions, but you are a newer channel and everybody is onto season 2 even though it ended. I wanted to say your end note made me laugh about "if everybody listened." isn't that every show? lol not flaming, just made me chuckle. I have seen worse reactions to this episode. I will admit shows/entertainment are very subjective. But I do believe this show is very good at two things 1)Anybody can be a villain in other person story 2)They are all victims of some sort of circumstances. I don't think anybody is all good, or all bad, and there's lot of gray area within many of the characters. In my personal opinion, this is one of the mot nuanced shows out there. I also do find everybody's reaction to Powder losing it interesting, mostly because it just goes to show how well the show runners "sold" that Powder has abandonment issues and mental issues. I will admit on my first watch, I wasn't that sold, but it took some time to think about it if you put yourself in her shoes. But it is crazy how much they accomplish not only in 3 episodes of 40 minutes, but the whole season. Also you got a sub from me and I look forward to any other content on your channel. I'd only say, having a slightly longer personal synopsis and end notes would be nice. It's always nice to hear others poeple's perspectives and thoughts, whether a specific episode or culminating a season or entire show.

Hey! Thanks for the wonderful message - we appreciate it tremendously. Please keep the messages coming - I think we have been lucky in that our subscribers, even in our other videos, take the time to thoroughly explain stuff that we might have missed in great detail. Also will definitely keep note of your recommendation =]
