As someone who played the second game all the time this was the fight that resonated me the most. I was so surprised that it was Kimmy and thrilled to battle her. But then horrifically realized halfway into the fight “oh shit we’re going to kill you.” I love fights with emotions and this was the most emotional since at the end of the day Kimmy was a kid. A kid who tried to follow Travis and became a hallow shell like he was in the second game. When it was over my literal focus was Sylvia. “Travis you need to kill her.” Sadly this isn’t what happened and honestly if it did I know the fan base would be split or majority would hate it. I do think the second game was the best in the four that came out. It honestly had the best plot and bosses. Jasper even with all his flaws was emotionally driving Damon was not. Fuu was fun to watch a spoiled brat having a tantrum. However, neither of them got me to react like Kimmy did. Just my take.

NMH2 was the weakest IMO. The amount 8-bit stuff was overkill and the game was too short. Plus I HATED that they got rid of the overworld!

I actually agree with a lot of this but i look at Travis killing kimmy as a way of respecting her and finally seeing her as a true assassin Validating her obsession and telling her she will have a place with the other assassins he killed in his dreams (or nightmares i suppose) Its a very somber fight with a somber theme and i love it for that I definitely see where you're coming from tho.

Honestly, how Kimmy uses the objects on the stage to shoot lasers at you and uses pyrotechnics and other stuff associated with popstars made this fight way more memorable for me
