I'd say apart from the fast and agile assasin meta, the previous nerf on her ult from 8 second to 5 second hurt really bad. In a 5 man match, 8 second is really useful but for solo its kinda so so. She only has long range, vision and slow CC.

People would say that her Ult needs to hit the enemies, but for me, even if it won't hit, I still would likely to use it on the jungle area. It is true, Solo is hellish, but what I think the most funniest thing about Solo is they act like baits for me to snipe freely. Since she deals Max HP, she can still one shot if you hit a squishy. A little trick, if you want to use Novaria. Make sure, when you aim her 2nd skill, try at least to hit the enemy from the line her second skill have. There is a line when she's aiming, and was positioned next to the arrowhead. If you have a stack of 4-5, you can get 9-10 by just hitting the line or the arrowhead.

Just remember, hororo, we will support you, always. About the video: Novaria is probably the most fun character I've ever played, and I was somehow really good at her from the get-go. The thing with her is that while slowly poking your enemies is useful, she just can't do anything other than that. She just pokes a little harder than others, and then you'd have to wait again. Her first skill is a minion wave clear skill, and for the occasional times, the extra slow will stop someone from chasing you (it also hits for solid damage, but it's way too slow) Her second is good, and I honestly find that hitting someone from far away is much easier than when they are close. Her ult is usually unimpactful as the increased hitbox doesn't benefit most characters that much aside from a few characters who need to aim their skills like novaria (how surprising) and franco Her passive is very good, providing vision and slow on every skill is really good. Too bad, most likely, your teammates won't capitalise on that which renders 3/4 of her kit mostly useless in a fight. So here's what I think are the best uses of her skills: So first skill ---> viable usually for minions clear and getting an assits Second skill ---> very fun, hits hard, but they can then proceed to nuke you and your teammates and heal the lost health Ult ---> free assists She's too team reliant to be impactful, which usually makes winning with her hard even if you were doing very well.

Nah, it's fine. It's a sign that the hero is balanced. If she glows too much in this meta, a slight nerf will instantly kill her. If they want her to shine, then decrease the action time on her 2nd skill 2nd phase to compensate on her very long cooldowns despite building a 45%cd. I have no problems in her current self because she has pros and cons that balances each other, but this is just what I recommend them if they ever release a novaria skin.

I'm a Novaria main in this season and I find her a Utility mage rather than a finisher/KS mage. Yes you may get kills, but you gain more assists most of the time due to her Ultimate and kiting capabilities. Novaria can burst but that doesn't mean she goes always for the kill. Her teammates might finish the plate for you while you provide the necessities. These include the vision, slow, and the damage done prior to the clash. I'm too excited for her upcoming Collector skin but I guess it will be delayed next year.

Her second skill is the only damage dealing skill. Which only does 2k at late? That's not great. She doesn't has cc either. A good mage always has good cc. Her ult is well kinda useless in late game. She can't 1 shot anyone. Like most mages can at least take 1 enemy out after using all their skills. Vale can take 2 out. Vale has good cc. Get my point? She's fun to play in classic only. Random allies or not, we love catching enemies. "She can't one shot anyone" She never was designed to one shot heroes but provide backup DMG from long ranges, think of like a mortar that also has tracker ammo. Vale is designed to be a burst hero that can also kite easily at late game if he ever gets caught but his range is this weak. Just _some_ nit-picking

It's not worth it if only one enemy is present (especially when you are last hitting an enemy and the other 4 are nowhere to be found). Novaria's ult is reserved for enemies' vision. It's good to use it during crucial teamfights.

I haven't seen any players picked Novaria since the start of the season. She fell off hard because of the current meta where assassins are dominating. She can be easily picked off by the likes of Natalia, Saber, Harley etc. In addition, mages with CC effects are also highly picked.

Novaria is crazy annoying if you know how to play her even against agile assassins/mm. You are supposed to spam skill 1 not skill 2. You use skill 2 as movement boost and positioning your self to avoid enemies that are targeting you. The main point of Novaria is give your team vision and slowed enemies with her skills whether they are chasing you or runaway from you. Checking bushes and supporting your team is a priority. If you master that then dealing damage and poking will be easy for you to do safely.

Assassin meta = novaria nightmare. Tank/Fighter meta = novaria sweet dreams. Novaria is a mage for a slow paced meta that can't get her in backdoor easily. If you're going to use some backline mage now, better use someone that can just burst down MM before beeing targeted (Pharsa), or distributes tons of slow and DPS (Yve).

Plus her skills don’t synergize and combo at all unlike other mages like vale, nana and Dora … and with pharsa Xavier yve buffed there are plenty of long range mages that are more useful than her… kinda pity since I do enjoy sniping with her

She is by far the worst mage in the game. Her ult is good and all but what good is it really? Vision and bigger hitbox enlargement is pretty strong but in the current meta that's pretty meh. Her damage is decent but aiming her skills are way too bad. It's like playing a worse Franco. As a mage she needs to provide magic damage and her damage is below average at best. Her rotation makes zero difference in flanking/ganking or in team fights.
