Thanks for stopping by today here on The Golden Octagon. Today we're discussing one (of the many reasons) why I think Panini lost the UFC contact and will no longer be making UFC cards after 2023. But it's Friday so I spent some $ to show you one of the things I DESPISE with panini but we do get lucky enough to hit a 1/1 Auto.

You’re right about Panini flooding products like Select with different variations, which is super annoying. But their Donruss product is the opposite of that, and very easy to build sets out of. But that product is extremely unpopular and constantly on clear out. So I agree but I’m curious if paninis to blame or if it’s consumers and hobbyists who prefer sets with tons of variations like select, so that’s what they produce? Would love to hear your take! Great vid and I appreciate you and your channel! Love collecting and ripping UFC!

I appreciate it! I know Joe from @Joescardstache loves select be he hates all the parallels, then 5 different “levels” of the same things. In my opinion, The cards are cool, the layout is dumb 🤣

So i bought myself a chronicles UFC Hobby box was 282$ in Canadian dollars a gift for myself been sitting on my desk contemplating opening or waiting till Christmas or hold it for a long while. My local shop is selling a 2021 for 800$ , i asked for that one thought it'd be same price or cheaper nope

Yeah everything in 2021 is pretty expensive. That was the 1st year panini made ufc cards.

Panini lost the ufc license. Seems like those few Sugar Sean O Malley Colorblasts out there are going to spike in value. If someone had one of those, damn, they are super lucky. I wish I had one tenth of your luck, some great pulls, congrats! I also fully agree, I got a 1 of 1 in Mosaic baseball, there are a total of 24 parellels needed to complete the rainbow, lol.

Topps Chrome now? No thanks. Been avoid topps cards. Only buy panini for recent cards. Just pushing people out of their market. I buy cards every week and not once have I bought topps.

Out of all hobby boxes. I’d go 22 optic or prizm / select. But it’s whatever cards you like most
