This livestream gave me so much hope for this game. I've been having a blast since day one and these quality of life improvements are awesome. I'm really looking forward to having more rally style missions and being able to switch characters while exploring. Jane looks fun and the theme they put behind her trailer would be awesome to have in game. New boss looks sick too. The title is hyperbolic clickbait: ZZZ is only adding in a new permanent game mode that has no Monitor Array (aka the TV) gameplay, adding it to the list of activities that already didn't have the TV's like the VR Sims, Expert Sim, Notorious Hunt, Routine Cleanup, Rally Commissions, Combat Commissions, and Shiyu Defense. They're not actually removing the TV's from any mode that already has it, and given stuff like the Camellia event it's unlikely they're going to be removing such an essential part of the game in the future.

Jane Doe is different. Jane needs another anomaly agent, particularly of a different attribute since Jane Doe prefers disorder teams than raw Assautl teams. You're more likely to play Piper with a support agent like Lucy than with Jane Doe, so despite the same roles, they don't really overlap in teams. Piper still got the core of PIper/Lucy/Soldier 11 or Nekomata.

If you like her and you have Grace then yes, Jane Doe will probably be a Disorder Anomaly focused char, so, she will 100% be better with other anomaly characters in the team, since the only F2p option at the moment is Piper and probably will not work that great with her, she will be more expansive then Zhu atm. You can probably use her with Nekomata too.. but I'm not sure if it's the best idea, ZhuYuan is safer atm since she has Nicole as a f2p strong support, while Jane is a more future focused character. So, if you want immediate results, get Zhu, if you want a character that will only get better with time, get Jane. (Both are great tho)

Honestly the no tv mode in hollow zero looks like a massive regression over the original concept. The last thing i want from this game is for everything to turn into time attacks. At least the Camellia event should be good. It's sad to see that they are tuning it down with the TV system when it's the mix of both that really make this game shine. Disappointing stream overall.

The livestream was great, but it's kinda odd they decided to remove the TVs from one of the few places where they were fine (Hollow Zero) while seemingly putting a lot of them in the new Camelya Golden Week event. I hope they listen and remove the TVs from at least the story quests, that's where they are most disruptive.

tbf its not so much removing them from HZ, but rather a dedicated sub-mode in HZ where you beat the shit out of an amped up Nineveh. In the future, I can see them making a different set of HZ stages (kinda like what HSR did with SU & DU), and with it a direct confrontation mode with the big boss again. But yeah, tvs in HZ is good. It's an SU that feels way more organic. I also agree TVs in story quests could use some lessening, particularly when it's not supposed to be in the proxy's POV. It's also worse when characters speak in HZ & you miss out on all that dialogue.

Bangboo is a really good source of Daze and deals a decent amount of damage. Some Bangboo even have really good passives. Some of them also have CC that helps in fighting multiple enemies. In the future, we might even have Bangboo that increases enemy damage taken. So those Bangpons are still great to have.

They already implemented it with jane doe, the only problem is time and how they can adjust the development while also making content for future updates.. Mihoyo is known for having contents for at least 3-4 future patches before releasing their game and adding playable agents on the overworld will probably massively delay their existing plans..

As someone that thought the tv system and super slow pacing of this game was a MASSIVE turn off at launch and wasnt super into it, they made $100 mil in the first month, they could've just left it as is and it would've probably been completely fine...a mid gaming experience in my eyes, but still completely fine, im glad Hoyoverse is trying to make this game better and listening to player feedback even tho they probably didnt need too...respect 👍👏
