Turned out great. I love my Rain 2. A standard bulkhead will fit on the drain and you can extend it down to the water level of your sump for a totally silent operation!

Thanks! What size bulkhead did you use?

I've always ran the Ehim jagger heaters and they are always very accurate. Very good heater to have lying around bro. Will be interesting to see what differences this scrubber makes. I've always thought to make any nutritional differences in the main display,you would need a pretty substantial size refuge.
@inventoryking4 жыл бұрын
Yeah the Jager heaters are awesome. It good that I had it laying around for sure. I have heard good things about the rain 2 from other users. So it’s going to be great to see how it works for me.

The ehiem heaters are or were renowned for becoming rusty at the top of the unit where you can adjust the temp, I always keep the blue section just out the water 😉
@inventoryking4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip.
@bcmiguel784 жыл бұрын
On my rain2 I lowered it so the tray sat just at the water line and then added a bulk head and strainer where the water leaves to prevent the algae from going into the sump. Having the tray at water level makes the scrubber silent so no water noise.
@inventoryking4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips. I am thinking of lowering it. I know it’s waterproof but I would like to avoid when the pump goes off that it’s not submerged
